QUOTE(uzairi @ Mar 15 2006, 02:59 AM) I think if your budget is around rm60-70 then better save some money for the Artic Cooling series of GC cooler that costs rm120-140 at LYP. It's much better and worth the money spend. And mind you it comes with 6 years warranty. Even my extra hot 9800xt can be tamed with Artic Cooling's ATI Silencer. What about the Artic Silencer Rev 3 ? for ATI's a friend gave me , but no backplate, so i cud not install it. do they sell this parts / loose parts ?? or is the silencer a gonner ? |

QUOTE(kingmaker_20 @ Mar 25 2006, 02:02 AM) Never go for CM Stupid CoolViva. Ii your original heatsink is passive or small, i think COOLVIVA is ok.....It performs worse than the stock cooler. Sytrin will be the best choice for air cooler. if u are using HIGH END VGA CArds... then i think COOLVIVA is a NO NO !! Styrin is kinda pricy for a low end card, but if u have the bucks... why not |

QUOTE(kingmaker_20 @ Mar 25 2006, 02:32 PM) Does Your Stock Cooler comes with a Fan ? or a passive heatsink ?I'm sure it comes with a heatsink.. i used CoolViva Previously on my MSI 9250 - TD 128, which has no fan on it..... But when i think about it, my GC was runnning better with the stock Passive heatsink that it did with the COOLVIVA. erm..... |

Now i am using the new driver the shop gave, its called Omega for Radeon, anyways i managed to finish the scene in AGE OF EMPIRE 3 that i always get stuck at... DARN... but it still hangs.... any other solution ?? i already have an exhaust fan right under the card... sucking air from the card to the rear of the pc.... or shud i put a FAN CARD that pushes air towards the card ?? |

thanks -vip3rleon9-,
maybe i wud download the universal driver... the driver i originally used was the one that came with the card, from xpertvision, and i tried searching around in xpertvision and found the same driver, so i guess what the heck, its the same, and maybe its not, so i'm gonna go and give it a try today.... |

Nak lepak aliff?buleh jer.. maybe esok boleh kot..maybe kuar tgk bola ngan member2.. btw..how come your card behave like dat aar? maybe overheating..just like my 9800xt when using the ol' icerberq 4. (the stock cooler died, remember? sometime hangs when i tried to play nfs most wanted and other 3d games the only solution was to push the reset button....hadeh.. (take note it is just sometimes..) now no problem since using ati silencer.. hehehe..... anways, yeah i am using the stock heat sink and it is kind of sucky.... maybe kena carik better cooling solution..... i dah letak pci exhaust fan betul2 under the card, it is sucking air directly from the card to the rear of the pc... but maybe i shud use a fan card to blow air towards the card.... tengok bola malam esok, adeh.... parking sure PENUH !! |

Thank for The Info bro.
I have this MCW50 VGA WAterblock. But it seems that i have to get an optional Fitting kit in order to use it, which i dunt think is easilt attainable. So i might just look for a Air cooling Heatsink for the VGA. ANy other suggestions ? |
