QUOTE(akachester @ Feb 18 2007, 04:23 PM) Just got my hands on the Zerotherm GX810 from my friend who is back from Singapore. First look at it, it seems bigger than i thought.Anyway, since its CNY, i still do not have time to test it yet.Still sealed in box. Will do the testing later... seems alot like the Zalman VF 900.but if im not mistaken, its performance shud be significantly better according to some review i just rad a few days back |

QUOTE(DaRkSyThE @ Feb 18 2007, 10:52 PM) seems alot like the Zalman VF 900. Well, i have seen a few review especially the one on tweak-town(IIRC the name) that said the performance isnt anywhere near the Zalman's but i am not pretty convinced by that review.Actually i bought this together with my cousin. He got the lower end GX710 for his 7600GS for about $43 while my GX810 cost $60.but if im not mistaken, its performance shud be significantly better according to some review i just rad a few days back Hopefully i will have sometime in these few days to assemble it and try out the performance... |

Just got the time to assemble the Zerotherm on my 7300GT and it does look gorgeous.Way bigger than my old stock Galaxy HSF.Didnt have the time to upload the pictures as i am still at my hometown. Will do so when i got back to KL..
Anyway, these are the relative result i got on the Zerotherm. To be honest, i dont really know how to do testing. All of these temperature i got from the Nvidia Ctrl Panel. If any of you wanted more accurate ones, do let me know which program i should use and what i should do..lol... These are the results using Zerotherm GX810 using the supplied silver TIM.Will change to AS5 when i get back to KL : At stock speed (500/1400) : GX810 IDLE - 47c LOAD - 52c Stock HSF IDLE - 53c LOAD - 58c At OC speed (550/1500) : GX810 IDLE - 49c LOAD - 54c Stock HSF IDLE - 56c LOAD - 60c This post has been edited by akachester: Feb 21 2007, 11:16 AM |

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR !!! For your information, i got the GX810 for about RM145 while the GX710 for roughly RM100 from Singapore but its almost impossible to find it over there now.The supplier told my friend that its kinda hard to find it there already..Might need to wait... Got myself a Zalman VF900CU. Came with fan controller and 8 pcs ram sinks.
Test GC: Leadtek PX 7900GS TDH Thermal Paste: AS5 OC S/w: ATi Tool 0.26 Fan speed for VF900CU is at max (2600RPM, but still silent) Its a simple test where idle is wait 30 secs from any activity. Load is max temp from log files after i run the 3dmark06 SM3 test Just wanna give the bros an indication of this baby's cooling ability (and I am too free) Stock Speed: Core 450, Mem 660 a) Stock HSF: Idle - 52, Load - 64, 3dmark06 Sm3 score - 1650 b) VF900CU: Idle - 40, Load - 48, 3dmark06 Sm3 score - 1632 OC Speed: Core 540, Mem 760 a) Stock HSF: Idle - 51, Load - 68, 3dmark06 Sm3 score - 1929 b) VF900CU: Idle - 43, Load - 50, 3dmark06 Sm3 score - 1925 OC Speed: Core 555, Mem 780 a) Stock HSF: Idle - 51, artifacts oredi b) VF900CU: Idle - 44, Load - 51, 3dmark06 Sm3 score - 1975 Basically its a sweet cooler that reduces GC temps by ~20% for my case. O/C ability of course depends on card. Silent, Steady GC cooler that's *quite* expensive but the size is small compared with some other monster size solutions. QUOTE(techPowerUp!) At this year's CES, Arctic Cooling unveiled their completely passive Accelero S Series. The coolers use heatpipes to transfer heat from the GPU to a large radiator-like surface that covers the whole video card. LinkInitially there will be two versions: The Accelero S1 and the Accelero S2. The Accelero S1 is the high performance version featuring four heatpipes and supports: Radeon X1800, X1900, X1950 GeForce 6800, 7800, 7900 and 7950 Series. 8800 cards are not supported at this time. If you are looking for additional cooling performance or have very little airflow in your case you can install an additional Turbo Module that uses an active fan to improve cooling. The Accelero S2 supports all low end and midrange cards ranging from Radeon 9xxx to X1650 and GeForce 4 to GeForce 7600. Compared to the S2 it has a smaller surface area and only two heatpipes, at a lower price. The Turbo Module can be installed here as well. Seems like there are two ver. + can mount fan on it, but what fan size??? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « ![]() Radeon X1950XTX and CF cooled passively [Link] the cooler so big, even can see the vga doin CF This post has been edited by E-J@1: Feb 24 2007, 10:30 PM |

There's two version of Arctic Cooling S GPU Cooler
S1 & S2 The S1 has four heatpipes. The S2 only has two heatpipes. Quoted from Theinquirer QUOTE The Accelero S1 sports four heat pipes and there will be a cheaper model with two heat pipes as well. It works with all cards up to Geforce 7950GT and Radeon X1950 XTX. The big cooler is taller than the average graphic card but it will do the job quietly. Larger picture: ![]() But something stupid about this new heatsink is, it's newly launched, but Arctic Cooling don't even bother to make it applicable to Nvidia 8800 GFX Series. What the hell is those swiss engineers were thinkin'? |

VF900CU is as simple to install too. I kept the vf900cu in my cupboard because after installing it on my x1950pro. It didnt cool the VRM of the card, so the card will get overheated for sure. Anyway, why u keep that Zalman away?It cant fit or not good for your ATI? I recieved an official reply from Zalman too and it said vf900cu is not recommended for x1950 series cards. Asked me to wait for the latest zalman vga cooler that going to release soon.
