Yeah thats right, i'm using VF900 now bought from Sri Comp and u know what, the VF700Cu is cheaper than VF700AlCu coz they have put wrong price tag biggrin.gif , so go and get it.

My GC is 6800GS, stock cooler temp idle 52C/ load 75C, with VF900 the temp is idle 42C/ load 59C only... nice cooler. rclxms.gif

wow... so nice... but anyone have the Zalman FC-ZV9? i read review saying, it can decrease another 3 to 4C due to higher fan speed and more fin compare to VF900

※ Incompatible VGA Cards
emTek GeForce 6600 HV6600GE2 SF 128MB
emTek HV GeForce 6600GE WoW Platinum2 128MB

only saw this at his website. i think vf900 fit almost every card on the market

so extreme... 100% need those steel bracket to act a back bone for the card else the board will crack due to the weight it need to support.

VF900CU costs around RM170 (PC Zone) and RM165 (Sri Computer).

lol.... that mod is easy and dun worry wont crack the core wan if u take necassary precautions,.... neway i would recomend the hr-03 coz performance is very good. but then it doesnt work with some cards, like 7300 and 7600 iirc...checl the compatability on its website...
*
that is the problem with TR vga cooler. it cant fit most of the commonly used card like 7600 series.. that's why, zalman is more famous among vga cooler due to its wide range of compactibilty

that's the problem with Thermalright HR cooler, the compatible issue, why won't they make it universal cooler rclxub.gif  doh.gif

Thermalright heatsink design make it hard to make it universal mounting.

i hear that IceQ3 perform quite ok but i want to know how it rank if compare to TR, Zerotherm or Zalman. do i need to purchase a third party heatsink if i going to OC it kau kau smile.gif if yes, which heatsink fit x1950pro. my zalman vf900cu confirm cant fit according to its website smile.gif

any advise greatly appreciate smile.gif

TR will fit but have some issue, & its not too serious, is just that u have to place a non- electrical conductive washer

VGA Compatibility List ::Link::
Issue ::Link::

although TR stated that it will not fit on X1950Pro, but they show the remedy for it, is confusing rclxub.gif

anyway, irangan, better for u to wait a while for the TH HR-03 Plus to come out, i bet this time it will be a universal cooler laugh.gif & who knows, maybe they add extra pipe or can mount 120mm fan (dunno can fit it) laugh.gif
*
i see.... hopefully my IceQ3 will work as fine as it said smile.gif

*i think that problem can easily solved by putting small piece of plastic in between the mounting and PCB board

at 1st they state that X1950Pro can't fit, then the real issue was that it made contact with the PCB, why don't u personally ask TR bout this blink.gif
*
i did... but no reply from them. that's why, i post my question here. hahhaa.

Bro, seriously, i strongly advise you get the Nvidia 7XXX AGP series, coz nvidia graphic cards is very cool mate...

Ok, here's why i'm saying it's cool:

Below are temps without any overclocking done smile.gif
XFX Nvidia 7900GT - stock heatsink [damn freaking small sweat.gif] - 55degrees wub.gif
MSI ATI X1800XL - stock heatsink [Believe me, it's damn freaking big, twice the size compared to Nvidia 7900GT stock heatsinks] - 58degrees rclxub.gif

Yeah, it's just 3degrees difference, but still, if you compare the size of the heatsink, you will know how cool Nvidia graphic card is... thumbup.gif

In the earlier days, i'm a die hard fan of ATI cards, but after i've used Nvidia graphic card myself, i'm starting to fall in love with it... wub.gif

The performance, the temperatures vary so much!!! nod.gif

***I hope i'm not out of topic here, as we are still discussing about graphic card cooling, no darksythe? biggrin.gif

I don't know bout this, does 7900GT available for AGP platform? blink.gif
If it does, i strongly suggest to you irangan to get either 7900GT @ 7900GS... thumbup.gif
*
ya i think the same too but problem is AGP8x Nvidia only have 7300GT, 7600GT and 7800GS. none of it come close to x1950pro in term of performance. according to review and feedback i read on the net (x1950pro agp IceQ3), full load temp is around 56-60'C. it sounds ok ok to me.. havent search for x1950pro on third party heatsink yet.

Then u must think again how hot the card would reaches...  thumbup.gif

ya i knew those review is not accurate because they are from colder country. but since i stay in an air cond room, should be not a major problem for me at least.

yeah, that's a good point.
hav to agree that the HR price is kinda overkill sweat.gif

like ppl always, you get what you pay smile.gif

TR HR 03 is one of the best VGA Cooler, of course the pricing is premium too. probably you can get a zalman vf700 for the time being.

You have to remember this phrase:

"Good Things Never Comes In Cheap Prices" nod.gif

You want cheap things, then grab an al-cheapo heatsink lor...

The price of HR-03 is not overkill, it's suitable with the heatsink itself, look at the heatsink itself, and compare it with other vga heatsink with lower prices, don't you think that the price of HR-03 is suitable?

The VF-900 is RM16X, which performs lower, and the heatpipe is only one.
while the HR-03 is RM185 from me *ONLY* tongue.gif  and the performance is higher, and the heatpipe is 4, then don't you think the price of HR-03 is suitable? hmm.gif
*
there is no doubt that HR 03 do perform and with the price sHawTY is selling. it is a steal smile.gif

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guys, fella from zalman customer services told me that zalman vf900cu is not recommended for x1950pro because VRM is not covered. what did he means by VRM?? Voltage Regulate Module?

they asked me to get a VRMsinks. what the heck is that..

Yes, the X1950Pro has a line of voltage regulators near the core which need cooling. Now it's handled by the stock heatsink, so if you switch, you'll need to get some heatsinks on that too.

As in terms of price, the HR-03 is actually a good deal IMO @ RM185. Much better than the similarly priced FC-ZV9. It's flexible too in terms of fan configuration and orientation, that alone makes it good value to me.
*
Thanks for the info. May I know which one is the VRM? Pls see the picture below.

IMO, the only problem with HR-03 is it cant fit alot of cards especially those from AGP8x.
