its laggy sometimes, but its ok...
but i do get some crashes occasionally...

i saw this big poster outside Digital Gadgets in ground floor LYP saying RM1499 with phone trade-in? this the one u saw?

from my usage, i don't get crashes unless i'm doing something crazy like loading multiple heavy-load programs.

guys have some problem here, i plug my handfree plug there with converter to my speaker, after i unplug it my device have no more sound but i plug in handfree to use everything was fine

sounds like you have the port problem. quite a common problem for HTC devices. even my XDA IIs has that problem, so now i never use any handsfree to plug into my 818 Pro.

so anyway to fix it?

u have to replace the whole board i think...
anyway, PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.6 TOUCH is out..
real TouchFLO ROM...
very fast and stable.. hasn't hang on me once yet

sounds like your speaker problem... very common in dopod/htc. just open up your 818pro & put some paper/sponge on the speaker, did the trick for me, but it's only a temporary solution, will need to replace speaker if the trick eventually fails

should be a connection problem. don't need to change the whole board.

just see if you can open up your unit to check but can void warranty.

but since it is under warranty, just send it for warranty.

aik the problem is only KL have service center, me live in kuantan

does anyone know how much is it to change the entire housing + labour ?

it is actually all in one WM6 plus Touchflo .....

1st is the PV_Temp . Download the file. Inside it has a G3 or G4 version
Reset ur device, check ur IPL and SPL . If it ends with .0001 it is G4, else G3.

Connect PDA with Activesync

Run G3 / G4 version and wait till 100% . Step 1 Done ...Dun do anything

2nd... Run PdaViet Wm6 4.0.0.0.6 TouchFlo

Hard Reset ( camera + voice command button, then cucuk the reset lubang)

Done ...

Added on July 31, 2007, 6:28 amafter many tries now my dopod crashed.. stuck at the starting boot screen that showing IPL whatever... argh gotta send to service center.. lucky my warranty till august

but the firmware has already been flashed to something else (WM6 3rd party ROM) which is not supported by the manufacturer. you tried to claim before?

actually I just read the link provided by Benedict. a lot of users complain about problems and bugs. so it is not entirely stable.
don't know should use or not.

benedictHHH, you are using the ROM w/o any problems?
