I'm saddened as to why there is no longer the T9 Phone Pad on HTC(Dopod) WM6 devices.

It is so darn useful and now with the Iphone being released which caters exclusively removes the need for a stylus, HTC definitely needs to bring it back.

Maybe HTC thinks that it is not a popular input method which is true as most people would prefer to use the virtual keyboard or handwriting.

yeap... I'm kinda dissapointed to when I realized the T9(if this wat u calls it ) was omitted out in WM6. It's very very useful in time when only one hands is free to handle the phone.

to be frank, I only use it once a while, like to reply stuff like 'I'm on my way', 'ok', 'yes', 'no', etc.

i'd like to try out WM6 but don't want to void the warranty on my unit.

haha i just sold it off for 1.1k hehe, sorry guys i just dont like using the phone. it is so slow, i think is me that dont know how to use the phone. planning to get someother phone maybe just a smartphone. for me PDA is just too much for me now.

well, the main reason to get a PDA phone is for the multimedia and productivity functions.

if you don't use the functions, you'll be far better off with a normal phone as a PDA phone is not focused on phone calls and SMS as its priority, which in retrospect makes it an excellent productivity tool. XD

you can use the built-in Phone Pad input and type with your fingers. the recognition is in Tegic T9 similar to what Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones' SMS systems.

Guys... dopodasia ... or htc is giving out free WM6 dwnloads....

I dwnloaded the ROM for 838Pro... will it be compatible with 818 Pro?

no. The 838's ROm is not compatible with your 818 Pro.

use a file explorer and go to "Windows\Start Menu\Programs" to organise your icons.

btw another problem came out, smart movie installed, mp4 and xvid codec installed..

but the 2 demo file cant play also

error: din found any xvid codec

uk19xx oso encountered this b4, if me ain't wrong. according to hansapkuay, try installing the codec in the pda memory and not in the memory.
