why so fast want to sell off? biggrin.gif Give it a little more time to try to get used to it. You can ask questions here if you don't know how to use the phone.

For example, making calls (including searching for contacts) and type SMS by just using one hand. biggrin.gif

It is ok for me. Pretty good for quick SMS replies.

Also, I do know there are 3rd party virtual k/b software that can make it even easier to type single-handedly.

I'm saddened as to why there is no longer the T9 Phone Pad on HTC(Dopod) WM6 devices.

It is so darn useful and now with the Iphone being released which caters exclusively removes the need for a stylus, HTC definitely needs to bring it back.

Maybe HTC thinks that it is not a popular input method which is true as most people would prefer to use the virtual keyboard or handwriting.

well, the main reason to get a PDA phone is for the multimedia and productivity functions.

if you don't use the functions, you'll be far better off with a normal phone as a PDA phone is not focused on phone calls and SMS as its priority, which in retrospect makes it an excellent productivity tool. XD

you can use the built-in Phone Pad input and type with your fingers. the recognition is in Tegic T9 similar to what Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones' SMS systems.

Go to Settings -> Screen. There's an option to switch to landscape there.

But you can still sync w/o any problems right? all your contacts/calendar/tasks/notes/etc can sync properly?

If all can sync well and you can transfer files, i think then don't bother about it.

Or is there some problem that comes up when the device id changes?

Don't think there is. This is one of the bad things of WM5. In WM2003SE and before, can easily choose wireless networks like a laptop.

sounds like you have the port problem. quite a common problem for HTC devices. even my XDA IIs has that problem, so now i never use any handsfree to plug into my 818 Pro.

should be a connection problem. don't need to change the whole board.

just see if you can open up your unit to check but can void warranty.

but since it is under warranty, just send it for warranty.

my free RAM is about 14++ MB with Wisbar Advance 2 and Phone Alarm running.

have you tried searching the CDs that came with the Dopod to see if there is Voice Commander there? anyway, if your unit is under warranty, i think u can send it to service center for them to reinstall it.
