just flashed to PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.5a Cross ROM..
so far, very stable.. hasn't hang at all..
of course programs take a bit of a while to load..
at most 1 second lag

slow proc ma...
its laggy sometimes, but its ok...
but i do get some crashes occasionally...
i think i spoke to soon in my last post.. HAHA...

anyway, PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.6 TOUCH is out..
real TouchFLO ROM...
very fast and stable.. hasn't hang on me once yet

does anyone know how much is it to change the entire housing + labour ?

cause i recently dropped my phone at quite a height and now its dented a bit..
its fine but i get annoyed seeing it like that

PDAVIET TOUCH rocks.
quite stable actually...
not many problems with it...
and also actually hardly use TouchFLO... still, better than version 5

just plug your phone to your computer, and run the PV_temp NVID ROM...
after that, continue again wiht the v6 touch upgrade

my dopod is dead
its stuck at the bootloader screen...
now i can still flash one or 2 NVID Roms, but after the RUU on my computer tells me its finish, my PDA just reboots and goes back to the bootloader..

looks like have to pay dopod service center a visit..
one look i'm sure they know i play flash liao...

wonder worst case to change the ROM chip how much would that cost

problem is, i can enter bootloader...
i can flash the PV_TEMP ROM... the RUU program says its successful but my PDA just reboots back to bootloader...

and i can't use the 2.15 from dopod asia because my ipl/spl is 2.20

oh, forgot to mention
i can't hard reset..
i can get to the part where it says 'Press Send to restore factory default, Other keys to quit'

when i press Send, it says Format FAT Partition and followed by Format is Failed

then i get a flash for 1 sec of the vendor boot screen which is all green, and its back to bootloader

make sure u have activesync 4.5
remove SD card, remove SIM card before flashing..

flash PV_Temp... do not touch PDA after flashing is complete..
it will sync with activesync and ask for settings, just sync as guest..
procedd to flash WM6 ROM...
after its done, hard reset and u have WM6

click on the upgrade_ROM batch file
just search for the ms-dos batch file

means got error..
u have to reflash the WM5 NOID
then try to flash WM6 again...

from the start, don't touch the PDA until the upgrade is complete, then hard reset...

if can, use the latest PDAVIET rom
4.0.0.0.5b Cross..
more stable than 4.0.0.0.6
the Touch ROM has issues wiht the HTC Home causing freeze at boot screen

all working....
for me its ok...
did u hard reset after upgrading to WM6 ?
cause your problems seems like u didn't..

for touchflo, press com button..
it might not pop up till u move your finger...
its like that

anyway, as i said, the 4.0.0.0.5b cross is better...
go to forum.xda-developers.com and find prophet mobile 6 for more info..

oh, and i just sent my dopod to the glenmarie service center.. will see how that goes

thats normal to show 4.0.0.0
if u really wanna see the version, go under Settings>Device Information

anytime u wanna flash a WM6 ROM, always flash PV_TEMP first..
the reason is its a clean OS to start from...
and always hard reset..

and with all WM6 ROMs, u cannot use the password lock..
cause once u turn your phone to standby, it will forget it...

one day, it crashed... and stuck at boot screen...
then i reflash la but always fail....
i think cause i upgraded spl also.. then after that i installed jester's ROM, then stuck at boot screen.. i go reset, then come to bootloader..
cannot do anything...
have to wait for jester to find out the gold card first...

but after they flash back NVID ROM is ok.. mine, just got screwed up.. now become brick..

after installing pv-temp, just sign in to activesync as guest also will do... just cancel the setup window when it comes on or just leave it

wm5 on 818pro also had problems la...
there will always be problems...

btw, just got my brick back from SIS today.. sigh...

shockk - off warranty liao... its a brick for now... waiting for jester at xda dev to find a solution to gold card.

name - restart your device and enter bootloader. If u don't know how, its hold Camera Button, and Press the Reset with stylus..

when u are in bootloader, plug the USB cable in, and run PV-TEMP...

alternatively, u could also flash back Dopod's ROM

But, Your prophet is G3 or G4 and before it crashed, what IPL/SPL and Radio ROM u using ?
if u did flash to 3.08 like i saw in that list, u may have bricked your prophet...

i go buy one second hand one also better.. now living without pda.. realise how useful it is especially the calender part... anyway, i'll be waiting for kaiser...... hope thats out soon, but not to soon cause no money.. lol

what is your current ipl/spl ?

if not mistaken, original dopod 818pro comes with ipl/spl 2.15
that is what the original Dopod ROm will support..

if your ipl or spl is higher than 2.15, u won't be able to flash dopod's rom.. higher number wins... local shop cannot do anything..

right now my phone stuck in bootloader.. i can flash ROMs but it doesn't boot... i'm waiting for jester at xda-dev to come up with his gold card solution.. hopefully that will work...
