Town Hall ![]() Petshop ![]() Starting another new theme: Winter Bakery ![]() Winter Toy Shop ![]() Winter Post Office ![]() anyone can share their experience buying online? I saw 7964 SW Republic frigate in BN for only 83USD and 99.20 after adding priority mail. Worth buying but dunno whether it will reach me or it will be taxed. |

@Gizzi69: I bought them online.
Based on past experiences customs will stop anything labelled "Lego" in a big parcel (if your parcel gets chosen for random inspection). I was charged about RM100 for a RM500 Lego set. Having said that it's mostly luck because your parcel might or might not get stopped for inspection by customs. The tax chargeable depends on the valuation the customs estimate your parcel to be. The price on your shipping receipt is just a reference in most cases. If you want to be totally safe then I'd recommend courier services. But if you use courier services then you could be better off buying it in Malaysia. |

QUOTE(Gizzi69 @ Aug 28 2012, 09:36 PM) did you buy them online? If the amount including shipping is below Rm500 you're safe. I'd go with the $15.90 airmail shipping option which is just $3 more as its slightly faster.The standard shipping from BN takes about 5 to 7 weeks. Airmail option is between 2 to 3 weeks, Don't expect perfect box condition from BN. Coupons used to work with Lego but not anymoreanyone can share their experience buying online? I've mentioned before that it is still very possible to get taxed even if the amount is clearly below that. There is just no guarantee you definitely will be safe provided the amount is below RM500. On the other hand, it is also possible to NOT get taxed even if you order way more than RM500. All depends on your luck. Basically once the items are sent out, they are pretty much at the mercy of our custom officers. So pray hard. |

QUOTE(musha @ Aug 29 2012, 09:48 AM) It is out in HK, Macao and now SG. I emailed Shell Malaysia, got an automated reply which didnot say anything. No official reply from them at all after 2 weeks. sigh...I have not pumped shell for like more than 3 years. They will get a lot of business from me with my guzzler.
