did you buy them online?

anyone can share their experience buying online?  I saw 7964 SW Republic frigate in BN for only 83USD and 99.20 after adding priority mail.  Worth buying but dunno whether it will reach me or it will be taxed.

If the amount including shipping is below Rm500 you're safe. I'd go with the $15.90 airmail shipping option which is just $3 more as its slightly faster. The standard shipping from BN takes about 5 to 7 weeks. Airmail option is between 2 to 3 weeks, Don't expect perfect box condition from BN. Coupons used to work with Lego but not anymore

Series 9 MF revealed

We have uncovered a list of the upcoming Series 9 Minifigures due to be released at the start of 2013. There are currently no pictures other than a picture of the box, but it is likely some will be revealed soon enough. This series will have silver packaging and have set number 71000.

Alien Trooper
Chicken Suit Guy
Maid Marion
Heroic Knight
Cyclops
Mermaid
Fortune Teller
Dr. Splitz
Roller Derby Girl
Judge
Battle Mech
Caesar
Downtown Cop
Plumber
Waiter
Hollywood Starlet

Unlike previous series, this series appears to have many completely new minifigures, rather then just changed genders.

By the way, is Lego cheaper in Sg? Where would be good place to buy?
*
QUOTE(kenny_pang @ Nov 12 2012, 11:05 AM)
I jsut got a box of 6177 too from SG for SGD29.90. With 650 pieces and .94Kg (with box), it is a bargain compared to Legoland MY. Assuming it weighs 0.5 KG, that will cost a whooping RM175 at Legoland, more than double the price. Of course, you don't get to choose the colours and brick sizes.
*
There appears to be holiday promo to commemorate the 50th anniversary in SG this month.
Some good buys are the Superheroes, Winter Village and Star Wars planets
Winter Post Office at SG$79 is even lower than its US RRP of US$69. Star Wars planet are almost US RRP of US$9.9 rclxms.gif

Also Metro department stores are having a 20% storewide including Lego, not sure if it is still on.
Another good store would be ToyStation which has 15% all year round

Guys, I planned to buy a new sets of Lego this weekend. But still can't decide which one should I bought first, the Unimog or the Motorized Excavator? No budget to buy both one shot.. tongue.gif
*
Go for the Excavator as it is due to be retired very soon.
You'll have another year or so to save for the Unimog as it will still be on the shelves. biggrin.gif
