still not 240KGs right... that scares the shit out of me...500lbs you know.. no bike is suitable for you then...

nah I am more function over form......as long as its not in Girly colors I am fine thats it  laugh.gif

f/f - fame fork

FFBS - 'BLEEP'ing Faraway Bike Shop

rims I am thinking about a custom set from Hope in Sillypore should be cheaper then the Bikepro option.

More questions then answers  laugh.gif  may take the MIC (Made in China) option into consideration.

5 figures was mis-represented by my left brain should read 4 figures. Plus whatever money I can get from liquidating my bikes.

The Scott CR1 frame is 2nd hand (2 years old) at half its original price in a FFBS. again the inherent risk. At that price it would boil down to MIC frames.

The CR1 prices are mighty attractive as is, why would one buy anything else ? Bikepro list prices is pre-discount right ?

damn the acronyms...

uhhh... i would not recommend you to go for the MIC frames... production QC is terrible on most of the cheap ones... i saw one the other day with those aero foil shaped seat post... they made it with such bad tolerance that the post with the seatpost clamp tightened way past carbon torque limit will still sway a bit rocking it by hand because there is a bit of gap between the seat tube and post.. and the rider came back to the shop complaining that the seatpost drops down whenever he takes it out for rides and have to raise it after every ride...of course, the bike shop pointed their finger at the frame that they didn't sell...

Stepdragon , TW26 and the likes are still more acceptable...

this is one that is not bad in value... (and i mean value only)

http://www.baikbike.com/one-time-offer-sil...t-only-myr9988/

the bikepro prices are definitely not discounted... and it depends on your relationship with unker tan...maybe bring miaopurr along and you get a hefty one shakehead.gif

i doubt the CR1 handling will be fumbling clumsy... it might be a tad more agile.. but still tame-able...the CR1 should be supposedly the do-it-all bike...so.. it can't be that bad... but with Addict and Foil on the scene... somethings might be not as good as both of the alternatives from scott...

Getting a knee jerk reaction now......reading CR-1 reviews in roadbikereview.com ...... my fear as per usual. The ride/handling. Very worried about the hamfisted handling downhill. Granted I am no UCI certified racer tongue.gif ...one can hope, cant they ?

for me.. ultimate climbing frame is either a Specialized Tarmac range, Canyon Ultimate CF or Trek Madone 6 /7...

each brand has a specific frame made for climbing... with the exception Trek and another couple who had only 1 frame like Madone to do all aero, flats and climbs...

but you can never go wrong with the Tarmac or Madone... Canyon Ultimate CF if you can find... is not a bad choice too...

Look used to be 586SL... now it is 695.. which i don't like due to too much integration..

that explains how he knows unker tan has Sapim CX-Rays while i didn't even know... WTF!!! we've been conned all the while...

Hope Hoops Pro3 RS Mono...not the lightest...but considered quite feathery for a 32-spoke wheel... the price is hopeless however...no hope..... sorry for the pun...

yeah I miss those, it takes skill to ride one. my first time I drove it into a monsoon drain, then rammed into a parked car. ditched the trike and ran helter skelter.
