Did 65km in one go yesterdy at my usual loop thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif . All of was well till i feel pain in my left knee. It painful that i cant even walk proper once dismount from the bike and riding after that. I still had some pain on my left knee when i move around. No porblem for my right knee tho.

I am wonder what i can do with it? Adjusting the cleat but how? I raad some stuff from the net but i just dunno what i am about to do is correct or not. I thinking asking my shop for pointers but afterward adjust abit gotta charged 20/30 AUD  rclxub.gif
*
seen it done before, they usually make adjustments based on the view from behind.

things to watch out for :

a) saddle height

b) gearing, dun show off go granny gear =P

c) get pedals with more float or adjust your cleats to get your leg into its 'natural' angle

if its your LBS.....they might not charge...ask them to be sure la......

Just recovered a small sum of money (5 figures) am thinking of blowing it either on an older Scott CR-1 (f/f only, in a FFBS) or just buy the same bike (what was it) Vinn_Ann is riding. Giant something something at XXXX price which is attractive to me sweat.gif

Seller claims the steerer is uncut. What I am worried about it as per usual is the ride. If there is a crash I think both bikes wouldnt survive with my current body weight of 240kg.

Bonus with the F/F I can hand pick my kit, its old.... with the Giant...its new, I dont have to get my hands dirty but eventually I would have to change the bars/stem/seat/crank etc etc to fit me.

Plus I am working with an extremely small budget, am pretty realistic about this so hammer away but dun do it like the tough MTB guys. I am pretty fragile. nod.gif

nah I am more function over form......as long as its not in Girly colors I am fine thats it laugh.gif

f/f - fame fork

FFBS - 'BLEEP'ing Faraway Bike Shop

rims I am thinking about a custom set from Hope in Sillypore should be cheaper then the Bikepro option.

More questions then answers laugh.gif may take the MIC (Made in China) option into consideration.

5 figures was mis-represented by my left brain should read 4 figures. Plus whatever money I can get from liquidating my bikes.

The Scott CR1 frame is 2nd hand (2 years old) at half its original price in a FFBS. again the inherent risk. At that price it would boil down to MIC frames.

210lbs I would like to think of as muscles tongue.gif .......+30 due to a lack of sleep over the last 12 years. So I can say I am fat now. sweat.gif

The CR1 prices are mighty attractive as is, why would one buy anything else ? Bikepro list prices is pre-discount right ?

Getting a knee jerk reaction now......reading CR-1 reviews in roadbikereview.com ...... my fear as per usual. The ride/handling. Very worried about the hamfisted handling downhill. Granted I am no UCI certified racer tongue.gif ...one can hope, cant they ?

i sometimes wake up in the middle of the night for not much reasons..haha.. nothing to do with you know what...

those load tests tells nothing unless they posted results like how many hundred thousand cycles it was repeated for... basically.. a properly built carbon should never fail any of those test unless it is something that is out of their physical limits...it should be capable of continually running for years on the test rig as carbon has no known fatigue life like alloy does...
*
The you know what is usually the GF/WIFE/whatever your sexual orientation is ummmm in the mood ???

That model is on going (even though they are selling it)...so nothing is posted. the other models they have it up.

The most trouble I have heard is that the finishing can go from excellent to pretty bad. For example, paint blocking the brake mount holes stuff like that. the worst one is that the bottle mount threads fell out.

Plus I slept with the sliding seat post problem (nothing funny) and woke up with a possible solution. I would get a longer bolt on top of which I would roughen up the contact surface between the seat post and frame.

Merdeka Day from cycling is carb loading day!!!!!!!! ice cream....pan cakes.....

Went to Yong's to physically look see what is available, largest road frame he has is S size as in Small and not Supersize.

I am kinda sceptical, if I can find something that would fit me, dont want to get screwed by Datuk bicycle shop like the last time.

dont know how you guys do it at current temperature. Any possibility of physical profile, fluid intake and caloric intake from the two of you ? I dont want to puk kai (system crash) out in no where land or carry too much food/water.

Yeah, I am 6'2" ..... pretty screwed since i picked up a CAAD 10 (105) and asked if they had 56cm....shop owner gave me a blink.gif look and said 'Difflicult to order normal sizes and you asking me about 56cm ah ?'.

Everybody wants to stuff me in a 56cm frame size, but I feel more comfortable in a 55cm frame even with front wheel pedal overlap. Which means I cant power out of corners which I love to do.

Yong is um across Ampang Point in Korea town. Bicycle stock is low to mid end. I was shopping in a Korean supermarket nearby so I popped in to Yong's to have a look. The owner is very nice/friendly, which is shocking.

haiya... go short ride ma can lo.. not every ride has to be epic... overcome that mentality and riding can be done anytime... jus dun let people f@ck with ur timing...

some visa card moment there eh... not so enjoyable when you suddenly hear your tire deflate while in the midst of basking in your glorious moment at the top of the climb...

happened to me once..  the swearing just continued all the way from completing the climb to changing the tube and on the way home...all the way...
ehh.. different person different intake i guess... if u feel something wrong... it's time to stop take a rest or watever helps...

look at the Effective Top Tube and Head Tube length of the 55cm and 56cm... sometimes, the changes are very marginal... if the effective top tube does not alter much (less than 10mm).. i guess the more common one you can get your hand on is easier... top overlap on a big sized frame should not happen often as it should have a very huge wheelbase... unless you run odd sized 185mm crankarms..

they are all salesman.. they are supposed to be friendly..
*
hehehehhehhehe -butthead.....my time ambient max ambient temp was 32 today is gulp 42. heat stroke country.

nah, some shops are better then others

went to Melawati bike shop (canondale, McMahone etc etc) caad-10 ultegra cannot remember the price.....outta reach

Fuji Team carbon Tiagra RM4,850/=

Fuji SL (dunno what) Ultegra with FSA crank RM5,XXX/=

Then some MTB, McMahone epicon fork alreay 5K plus, with better fork RS SID is 9k ++ WTH!!!!

all this sticker price.

Vinn_Ann what was your bike again ?

wow EMC r2.4 at RM2.5k that its good deal based on the groupset offered but without sealed wheel hubs and carbon seatpost as in offered in r2.2.

I still do not clock enough km's to see the performance of my R2.2 but the creator said it is stiffer than some carbon fibre frame. I have not try to test his claim yet.

Giant TCR SL2 is about 4k ++ in Subang right ?

The Caad 10 is about 7K ++ with complete 105 groupset.

Vinn_Ann how do you manage the ride ? Heard or more like read that it was harsh. I did pick up the SL2, compared to the Caad the SL2 is lighter same spec same size different shop.

There's a 2nd hand Litespeed Liege frame for sale, am tempted its in my size. but pricey and its Ti. Then again I have group and wheelset begging to be built.
