I'm 26 this year. Got 9k+ a month. I'm in oil and gas industry, so that's probably why I got a pretty good salary. I also got Master's degree, which according to my company's interview back then, it helped me to get that kind of salary. nod.gif

Thanks Bro. Still the tax gonna take quite a chunk of that. Not gonna b**** about that tho, as even with 26% tax, I still pretty much can save a lot. Especially since I'm single. biggrin.gif

Just out of curiosity, if you can only choose 1, would you go for high salary, or more vacation, or a job where you have a genuine interest in.

I think it changes as your age increases. biggrin.gif
When you are young, you want to earn more = Higher salary
When you are in your mid 30s or early 40s, you want to have a balanced in work-life = More vacation

Genuine interest? I think it usually happens when you have a stabilized income. You just wanna do what you really like. biggrin.gif

That's my opinion. biggrin.gif

decent package with sufficient vacation

but a sad reality is, in corporate world, the higher you get paid, the more nonsense politics you have to deal with

of which after sometimes, you will start to wonder where is your "old self" anymore, where is your conscience anymore

which is why, I prefer to work solo as a consultant or with a small team is enough, I don't like to report to management, nor like to have people to report to me
