Job Title : Support Engineer
Job Description : Consulting, support, and training of clients
Month spent in company : 1 month
Industry : Oil & Gas
Tenure : 2-years contract
Employment Level : Low level (?)
Experience before joining : 9-months project w/ Bachelor's Degree prof, 1-year project w/ Master's Degree prof (no real work experience)
salary : RM 9,000+ (RM 6,000+ after tax)

The tax is pretty heavy here, eh? Still can't complain though, as this is my first real job. smile.gif

Sorry for butting in, but I'm in her position also. Not to belittle any of her achievement while in internship, but her (and my) case is most possibly pure luck. At least she got into internship before, I was approached by a trainer when I was in a software training by this company I'm working in now. biggrin.gif

Basically I help our clients' problems with our softwares or the models they made with the softwares. My company is reservoir simulator publisher so my job is basically a petroleum reservoir engineer. biggrin.gif

I'm 26 this year. Got 9k+ a month. I'm in oil and gas industry, so that's probably why I got a pretty good salary. I also got Master's degree, which according to my company's interview back then, it helped me to get that kind of salary. nod.gif

Thanks Bro. Still the tax gonna take quite a chunk of that. Not gonna b**** about that tho, as even with 26% tax, I still pretty much can save a lot. Especially since I'm single. biggrin.gif
