yearly increment pretty standard around RM150-180, so far got twice sal adjustment(5 yrs back 30% and this yr 15%) that's all

that kind of increment is abit too... erm.. humiliating, don't you think? sweat.gif

you should start to jump company, as your age is coming close to 40, after age of 40s, it is harder to job hopping

I think 1%-5% increment is pretty normal these days, especially in MNCs. sweat.gif
That's a sad fact that is happening everywhere which is also one of the main reasons why people look out and job hopping so often these days.

I'm not working for this week and taking a break at home. I do check email from time to time, in just 4 days (Mon to today as Tuesday was a PH), I have received 2 resignations from a software developer and tester. Their managers say the new offer they got in their new employers is something we cannot match. Very frustrating but what to do when we are only giving 1%-5% of yearly salary increment. That's also if the company is doing well, if not, 0% increment. sweat.gif

Well, for these two employees that just resigned, I do think their salary is considered not too bad for their age. Early 30s (30-32) and earning 6k+, still single. Too bad we can't do much when it comes to salary.

loyalties are cheap thesedays, what to do, things are getting expensive doh.gif

my side also not good either, many senior managers have left or have tendered, one of them have served for 15 years and he is in his 40s, definitely not a good sign when you see such people just resigned suddenly

I guess I have to look around before shitstorm coming

If you can find a better opportunity and already have certain level of experience and qualification, please start to look around. January is a good time to start a new fresh employment. laugh.gif I agreed that money can't buy loyalty.

On another hand, I'm also looking out and headhunter been keeping in touch with me from time to time. Not until I found something that I really like, I will not attend interview because I'm really busy these days. sweat.gif

Worse comes to worst, restructuring is pretty common in my organization, I'm waiting for my turn. laugh.gif Though the compensation may not be a lot but at least something. tongue.gif
