Sure is good to continue, your friend is fresh person but can get a high paid, is good enough already even increament only 100.

Why not concern on how to earn working exp, but please dont so concern about salary for those who fresh some more this is consider high paid, some of employees even working more than 3 years also cannot get such of paid

I'm currently working in a company paying 3.6k for fresh graduate. If your friend is in IT line (software development), we are still hiring. With experience, can bargain for higher than 3.6k.

Personally, I don't think you are underpaid. Yes, there are other company paying higher for fresh starters too. You can check out many websites that do salary surveys.
But it is all back to yourself to pursue what you want and be passionate about it.

I started my first job with 2.1k last time. At that time, some big companies already giving 2.6 - 3k, but most of other companies, 1.6 to 1.8k.
What kept me going was that I learnt a lot, not just technical stuff, but more importantly problem solving, relation building, communication, project management, etc.

You can always look for freelance job, but you will need to be discipline about your time management.

It is always good for you to build up a good track of record, and applying to other company just to check out your "market value" is not bad either.

2.8k jump to 4k is possible. Provided u have the skill and knowledge to justify the jump.

Yaya of cos dream big but muz b realistic in your request. If u the boss also will you layan this request to jump to 4k? Unless the guy did some super excellent job that rake in big profits for the company it will be safer to request for within 3k range than jump to 4k.

If din do any excellent job but worth to the company and the request reasonable, im sure the boss will consider the adjustment.

If didn't do excellent job, then i think u shouldn't request for a raise already.
best is u go for interview to see how much you are worth, then tell ur boss this is what is offered outside.

quite good idea to know that you are under which range so that can be request from company...

I don't think your boss will give you that huge increment.
Ask yourself why do you deserved that amount? You only have 2 years plus experience.
Remember that your boss can hire a year more experience than you just 3k-3.5k range.

the thing is my junior got higher salary than me lower experience level, so thus i also... think la....but 6 month back was offered a NOC job for 3.6k.. but refused coz this company gives good experience.... i think would be better go for interview to rate my market value?

I think you are not that familiar with current market range

An IT person with 2 years experience with either network or server specialization, definitely deserve at least RM3.5k and above, especially when he has CCNP
