QUOTE(nelsonlye @ Sep 10 2012, 02:20 PM) sorry, u misunderstood. i clearly understand the sacrifice in reduced comfort for stiffer ride. but hopefully not too badly.currently the stock setup makes the car wobbly even when overtaking, so its kinda bad. thanks This post has been edited by masao343: Sep 10 2012, 02:32 PM |

QUOTE(outpace @ Sep 10 2012, 11:16 AM) drive shaft kong already. Bro, mind to share how much you're quoted for the GSP Driveshaft for each side?... planning to change both sides, new DS (not recond one!) only comes from CHina now, there's one brand name GSP, so looks like I'm going to settle for that. also, changing DS oil seal, I heard there are different kind varies from premium quality to soso quality. the most common one is NOK, below RM10, however I was introduced to another type, cost near to RM20 one pcs (ex workmanship), not really sure which one to take up. |

QUOTE(SinS @ Sep 10 2012, 11:06 PM) workshop will quote you 180 to 220, but please make sure they get new DS for you, there are quite a few brands according to my 4man friend, there are also re-cond type outside, they change the joint and use back the rod, to me, it's waste of time, energy and money. Make sure your workshop won't do this. |

Anyone using A-FPR here? Mind to share what is the pressure (psi/bar) you are running at?

I don't really know other brand, just judging by the website, hearsay of the seller, warranty provided, GSP should not be the worst one considered we don't have many reliable choices for Wira driveshaft |

This is quite weird, I realize when I self adjust the valve timing and ignition timing through adjustable cam gear and distributor that I will not get the final result immediately until I take the car out to the high way for a cruise, then only it will become much responsive and powerful, the clacking sound from engine when I tap the throttle after tuning disappears and engine becomes quiet. Is it because the ECU not getting used to the fresh settings yet? Therefore unable to inject the correct amount of fuel?

QUOTE(GKWong @ Sep 11 2012, 09:18 PM) stock pressure about 2.5 to 3 bar.... you will need FPR ONLY IF your car AFR at high rev lean or insufficient... for low rev if u need to manipulate the AFR, it is not a good example to play with FPR because you will screw the rest settings unless you have management to manage injection pulse. Fuel pump replacement will be done when pressure insufficient at desired target.Added on September 12, 2012, 9:01 am QUOTE(IamRacist @ Sep 12 2012, 04:31 AM) This is quite weird, I realize when I self adjust the valve timing and ignition timing through adjustable cam gear and distributor that I will not get the final result immediately until I take the car out to the high way for a cruise, then only it will become much responsive and powerful, the clacking sound from engine when I tap the throttle after tuning disappears and engine becomes quiet. Is it because the ECU not getting used to the fresh settings yet? Therefore unable to inject the correct amount of fuel? The ecu u using is just a normal ecu which have high and low octane table... it do not need to learn except stepper motor and 4AT tranny only. Always remember when u advance the distributor timing, it will advance the timing but when you advance the cam timing is actually retard the timing. You cant test the car on stand still because there is no load. When there is pinging sound, it means that you have engine knocking which is bad and the timing too advance, you will need to retard or use higher octane fuel to compensate. 4G1 series or 4G9 series ECU all are very simple... not much protection and simple table only. This post has been edited by mxsteven: Sep 12 2012, 09:01 AM |

I see I see. I set the cam to retard so I have to adjust the distributor to retard as well to get rid of the pinging noise. Sound still appears once I engage D and throttle but somehow is gone after a highway trip and acceleration felt smooth and stronger. |
