Bro, mine to explain why it is the valve seal?...Should i just replace the valve seal to solve the problem or do a top overhaul?

hey all,

my aircond recently gave me this prob. While driving on a hot day, the engine temperature will rise above half mark, then the aircond will stop blowing cool air. If I drive at night, engine temperature never go above the half-mark thus aircond is working fine (can be damn cold).

I suspect something is wrong with the engine cooling system which after reach above the half-mark, aircond stopped working?? Is it true??

I've checked the radiator, water is full. so i dunno what can I do?

I think aircond and your engine temperature is separate issue...For temperature problem, maybe u can check your thermostat or radiator fan?...as for aircond, should be your condenser fan or relay got problem...

Correct me if i'm wrong...

Its hard to explain here... better go google.... conclusion, when valve seal is old it will be hardened and therefore it may prone to have oil leak into the cylinder plug

Bro you forgot to mention the function of your meter. Oil Press?

I've search how the oil lubricate the engine...but 1 thing i'm not sure...piston ring is not lubricate by the engine oil?...
I've previously replace the valve seal only...almost 1 year ago when i replace it...since my car already 10years old, should i just fix the valve seal again or opt for top overhaul?...which is more beneficial for the long run?...i wanted to fix the problem and drive for another few years...

okay. before this i filled up with water.. just now i bought a coolant from Tesco. The temperature rises slower, but still reaches more than half... then the aircond give the same prob (no cool air).

radiator fan will only start spinning when the engine reach certain temperature right? I'll prob try to check after a journey whether the fan actually spins...

its a new set...need money...

Can be aircond radiator & engine radiator, both motor got intemittent problem. Sometimes work, sometimes not work.

Your engine radiator coolant got any leak ? Need to top-up frequent ?

Guys, last time i rmb when i open my fuel cap got vacuum sound like "tssssk"... but recently the sound gone. So issit some fuel hoses worn out or leaking ? or the cap problem ?

How 's the lorry hit your car door ？ How come made a big hole there?

hmm.. dont think there's any leak.. only the first time topping up.. will monitor closely after a week see wheher reduce or not..

he said that his lorry already reverse.. i said if u already reverse out how come hit backdoor not front bumper?

no report.. he didn't pay me.. suan liau so how to gao tim the holes? how's much is the damage i need spend? thanks~

Rough estimate work is:
1) Knock both door and fender

2) may need solder a piece of metal back, since hole too big.

3) patch with putty

4) smooth out with sand-paper

5) anti-rust + paint + clear coat

Now sure pricing, but RM500-1k range ?

i hope less than 500 cos i need paint whole car. door still can be save???
