geez.. just tried my SHP895 today. Eric Clapton suddenly sounded so much NICER !! And I can't stop listening to my 雪狼湖 collections.. the soundstage is so amazingly clearer than my el-cheapo speakers. And yes, I haven't been poisoned by HD650 or the like

QUOTE(hawick @ Apr 17 2006, 12:45 AM) sorry for interrupt this tread, but do anyone know where to buy a set of SHP 895? i went to PC fair today, but found not a single booth was selling SHP 895. Just buy it from Davis. He can send right to your doorsteps as long as he has stock After that, i went to Lowyat Plaza for another round of treasure hunt. ALL IT HYPERMART is selling them, priced RM239, which is way too far from the price RM180. Can anybody tell me where to buy this headphone? and don't forget to inform me the latest price, thanks. |

Not complaining or anything, since it's minor problem. But just want to know the general opinion or enlightenment.
Basically when I connect to my soundcard (X-Fi Music) and I don't play anything thing, my SHP895 has a constant hissing sound and when I do any playback or movie, it will go off. So any idea if this is normal or there's anything i can do to get rid of it? |

For burn in, is it necessary to get a specific type of music or whatever that has a big spectrum of frequency like pink noise?
Well I did it with only Eric Clapton's collection LOL not sure if that's fine or not. But his voice does sound much realistic than first day listening |

HP 895 is really a good phone btw, but I feel it just lags something compared to sound output from Whafedale Diamond 9.1 that I heard not too long ago... I can't quite picture it in words because I am still entry level audio-apprentice
That's why I am giving headphones another try by ordering HD595 |

Good points from both Davis and thedoctor hehe That's the classic answers from both subjectivist and objectivist camps
I am somewhat in the middle of the two camps, but I would lean more towards the electronics though. hehehe To me, whatever is cheaper that reaches the same goal, will be worshiped by me. It's just too bad that I suck in soldering and I don't have all those gadgets thedoctor has on his workbench. So I end up buying from him |
