Add me to the list guys... just received my 1.3L manual standard FLX on friday! Btw, full tank only RM46 @RM1.9 per litre? So far I drove 180km already, still got 3 bar left. Whats the usual FC for 1.3L manual? Thanks!

PS: mine is white.

Congrats thumbup.gif I really envy FLX manual owners because not only is the Getrag shifter much nicer in terms of feel (I haven't tried it but the Aichi Kikai in the BLM and FL must be the worst around) but the ratios are tuned better now.

Your engine being new will need to be worn in and consumption should get progressively better the more you drive. Using the bars to measure fuel economy should be used only as a very rough estimate as the float calibration level may differ from car to car, and also depending on the slope.

Fuel consumption is highly dependent on traffic condition, your left foot and gear shifting style. Perhaps if you described the three factors it would help us estimate your consumption better. But remember that the engine is still tight and new.

Go get yourself an account at www.fuelly.com and use it to track your consumption. Remember to fill to the brim for each tank.

How much you can fill in depends on how low you run the tank. When the warning light starts blinking you still have about 10-12 litres in the tank, although a part of it may not be usable.

Normal lifespan is about 18-24 months. I just changed mine at 40,000 km, car was 20 months old. The original battery was still working fine but it was changed as a preventive measure.

I clocked about 29k as of now. How much to change it?

I changed mine to a Century maintenance free battery. Can't remember exactly how much but it was about RM 170-180.

Thanks for the detailed explaination! I have driven quite a few manual cars, and the Saga FLX's one is pretty good! Best part is the ratio like you said, the acceleration is great for a 1.3L car. Actually based on my estimation I can get about 280km for the current tank of 22L+/-. My driving habits is usually smooth acceleration and I like to drive fast tongue.gif tongue.gif

Unker David, I honestly can't explain your experience. So mysterious wor blink.gif But I'm glad it's finally working out for you thumbup.gif Oh yah since I drove your Iswaga too I wonder if that would have any effect laugh.gif
*
Iswaga been borrowing to people off and on, and the pregnant wife always punish it, running around Jinjang, you know la those kampong road, so its basically doing off road rally almost everyday. The FC already stuck between 12~14km/l, but I imagine later raya time less car on the road for a week or 2, I'll get 16km/l again nod.gif

As of the driving habit, I think I got influenced by you blush.gif Now I'm like siok siok nothing to do also double declutch. Corner also double D. Cucuk dugong also double D. Over take also double D. Driving straight road nothing to do also double D laugh.gif Bem! Bem!

Very the reasonable lar. All BLMer jealous already lor. You guys FLX are the blessed 1 with proper tuned gearbox and IAFM+, if drive properly should get ultra good FC. And, considering your driving style is smooth travel, you should see more magic in the future wub.gif

dry.gif got symptom lar. It will not die straight away geh normally. Like you turn your ignition, the starter hesitate a second then only kick in. This is typical symptoms when battery left 12.3V and below. However, I believe most people would just ignored as long as the car starts, and therefore later breakdown... including me

You will lose at least RM10k - RM15k from your purchase price.

I changed my drumbrakes 4 times since buying the car on January before the sound finally went away for good.

If you are so compelled, spending a few hundred bucks to get it fitted with disc brakes is better than losing RM15k. But while you still have warranty, just claim, claim and claim.

Just my 2 cents.
