yo... after whole day busy with work and unlucky day for me, now it's time for reporting in
this morning driving to work like usual, aircond work perfect (8am).. after punch in at office, go out to store around 10am, when get into the car, start engine, turn on aircond, weird smell come out from aircond, and no more cold air going to nearby proton SC, and after troubleshoot it, nothing found.. SA told me gas enough, compressor ok, bla bla bla.. ask me go to Sanden Air Cond (the aircond supplier) factory at Glenmarie to check it... reach the supplier factory, less than a minute, that technician found the problem, condenser leaking that technician told me this is defect make by the driver (maybe hit something ex. bump, stone, etc.) and he say this defect not cover by warranty (proton also said that) he said can replace it around RM400 (include part and labour), but i refuse and went to COE (meet my friend who working as SA there my friend told me those part need around RM6xx to replace it (luckily he help me kao tim dy, otherwise spend almost half day outside, all my appointment spoiled at COE saw a group of senior technician discussing about the brake tak tak problem replacing the aircond condenser for my car this is the area where power steering cooling coil (RED) hit the aircond condenser (BLUE) and leak off and now they put some gaps between them... (all FL/FLX driver, better check yours as well before it touching each other and damaging the condenser) whole new condenser thanks to my friend for helping me claim as warranty This post has been edited by gogoman86: Jul 23 2012, 09:10 PM |

morning everyone...
QUOTE(badjer @ Jul 24 2012, 11:49 PM) QUOTE(GRexer @ Jul 24 2012, 11:50 PM) Well.. The pump is a submerged in-tank unit on most EFi fuel tanks, and the fuel filter is almost always after it, but before the fuel rail(where it's supposed to filter out most, or rather ALL sediments to prevent it from clogging up the injectors), hence my mention of NOT frequently running dry, or almost dry. Unless it's been modified to run an external pump where you could fit a high flow filter before it(which my now-no-longer-daily car is setup), the recommendation is still to refuel before it hits warning at best. Yeah.. It would had been great if it had 45 or 50 litres, but I supposed as it's based on the Savvy platform, it's probably due to the lack of space to fit a larger one. One of the bigger peeves I had about it, others are pretty minor like the lack of a one-touch power window for the driver's window, lack of factory brake lock etc. Another thing I've encountered, but I suppose this relates to the CVT owners only. Do you guys find that shifting from L to D, it nudges into N momentarily? Mine does and it kinda annoys me, not that I find the need for L-gear yet. It's supposed to be Low Gear instead of Sports Mode(like the Preve CFE Premium). QUOTE(dares @ Jul 25 2012, 12:27 AM) Takes practice I guess. I tarik-tolak D and L several times when going Genting, havent encounter any instance where I hit N. the L mode in FLX stand for Low Ratio (not low gear), and it's the same as S mode just like Prius/Insight/PreveBut it seems that the so called S gear on the Preve functions exactly the same as L mode One of the reasons why I never run it below 2 bars. What if I got lost at somewhere unfamiliar and there is no petrol station in view? Don't doubt it, it can happen. Happened to me before, sked the shit outta me but luckily manage to find a station. QUOTE(dares @ Jul 25 2012, 12:40 AM) ya, FLX also do have S mode (maybe you mean SAT mode) |

btw, i just back from CoSe, collect my car there... yesterday morning sent in for major service 40k, and too busy with work until i didn't realise that my car is ready to collect at 1pm (receive message from them)... and no choice since when i realised that message, it was already 4.50pm, can't collect it anymore...
yesterday going home by ktm train anyway, i ask them to use fully synthetic engine oil cause lazy to service every 5k since it was achievable so easily, and they did it, BUT... using symtium 1000 SM 15w-50 anyway, i love this oil because give me a very big impression, the engine go silent and less noise during high rev... total bill for my major service 40k, RM401.25... i also complain on the door rubber (rear left) and also it alignment, when the door shut, it doesn't level to the car body surface (offset about 2 to 3mm) now everything is solved...
