For FLX manual owner, what your RPM at 90km/h?
Coz my RPM stick 3k at 90km/h. Lousy gearbox ratio by aichi kikai.

Can i claimed for new gearbox eventhough its not faulty yet?

3k RPM at 90km/h  blink.gif  shocking.gif  shocking.gif

Even if you claim new geaarbox you'll get the same one with the same gear ratio, unless your clutch was slipping kaw kaw causing the RPM to shoot up  laugh.gif . FLX manual gearbox from Getrag btw, not Aichi Kikai anymore.
My dream to get Getrag. drool.gif drool.gif

Please proton keen my warranty to change the gearbox. blush.gif

FLX CVT in D mode 90km/h is around 2.1k. Dunno about MT, though  hmm.gif
So efficient the CVT over the manual. cry.gif cry.gif

FLX manual not much better also, 90km/h @ 2.8k RPM, 110km/h @ 3.3k RPM, only 200-300 rpm lower than us. Well, i calculate using gear ratio calculator from website.
*
Only 200-300 rpm reduction? Maybe CVT worth for fuel efficiency.

i thought manual for flx is higher rpm at the same speed compared to auto?
*
Yeah.. its true. I owned the BLM rpm tipped at 3k with 90km/h instead of 2.7k-2.8k at same speed for FLX.

Yup, thats normal also for my Saga FL. I normally used up to the fuel warning lighted, I can go for another 50-60km (100% city driving). Just to share with you guys something very embarassing, I have experience b4 where I used up all the petrol until my car suddenly just stop in the middle of the road and cannot start at all!! sweat.gif  (was in a hurry and forgot to pump petrol!) So had to push to the side, walk about 10 mins to the nearest petrol station, buy a 1.5 lit mineral water bottle, empty it, and fill it up to full (about almost RM3 worth of RON95), go back to car and fill it into petrol tank (this one quite challenging as u need to pour slowly if not sure spill out!!), can immediately start, went to the nearest petrol station and fill it up again. If I remember clearly, I was able to pump in another 35+ litres. So try not to push it as it may not be exactly 40 litres. You need to estimate how far you should go until yr next fill-up. Don't end-up like me, trust me, you wouldn't want to go through what I experienced shakehead.gif
*
I had experienced this before. Thankfully, my car automatically stop when i reached the petrol station. After 60km fuel blinking. shocking.gif

5K still the same. As for 10K, it is up to you whether to use SS or FS.
I use FS for 10K because follow the oil change interval of 10K instead of 5K.
*
What FS u using right now? Syntium 3000?

i.Ken,

maybe u can try Caltex Halvoline 10W-40. Only just RM104 for 4 litre pack.
More protection with API SN instead of API SM in syntium 800.
