So, here is the latest discovery on my car. Those who having trouble, suffering from high fuel consumption, I have the answer for you.

Those who following V25 should understand I had an adventurous meetup with lhwj, tested his BLM SE and he drove my sick BLM also. As I've suffering high FC previously and swear I wanted to see him drive my car as he's 1 and only dude that drive a GaGa like a Prius!

336km still have 2 box blink.gif Either my fuel indicator rosak, or the car did TRANSFORMED after drove by Luke. Unless I use haiway, otherwise its impossible to see 336km can still see 2 bar at the fuel indicator rclxm9.gif

Don't ask me how! The greatest discovery is, AFTER Luke drove my car, it became good FC! notworthy.gif

like if you have been using ron 95 all these while, you wont feel the immediate major difference with a single tank of ron 97. Need a few tanks then only can see the real oomph of it.

true also hmm.gif which means after few weeks later it could be back to "normal" 280km/tank doh.gif or as "normal" as Luke's BLM SE? wub.gif

Unker David, I honestly can't explain your experience. So mysterious wor blink.gif But I'm glad it's finally working out for you thumbup.gif Oh yah since I drove your Iswaga too I wonder if that would have any effect laugh.gif
*
Iswaga been borrowing to people off and on, and the pregnant wife always punish it, running around Jinjang, you know la those kampong road, so its basically doing off road rally almost everyday. The FC already stuck between 12~14km/l, but I imagine later raya time less car on the road for a week or 2, I'll get 16km/l again nod.gif

As of the driving habit, I think I got influenced by you blush.gif Now I'm like siok siok nothing to do also double declutch. Corner also double D. Cucuk dugong also double D. Over take also double D. Driving straight road nothing to do also double D laugh.gif Bem! Bem!

Add me to the list guys... just received my 1.3L manual standard FLX on friday! Btw, full tank only RM46 @RM1.9 per litre? So far I drove 180km already, still got 3 bar left. Whats the usual FC for 1.3L manual? Thanks!

PS: mine is white.
*
Very the reasonable lar. All BLMer jealous already lor. You guys FLX are the blessed 1 with proper tuned gearbox and IAFM+, if drive properly should get ultra good FC. And, considering your driving style is smooth travel, you should see more magic in the future wub.gif

dry.gif got symptom lar. It will not die straight away geh normally. Like you turn your ignition, the starter hesitate a second then only kick in. This is typical symptoms when battery left 12.3V and below. However, I believe most people would just ignored as long as the car starts, and therefore later breakdown... including me

my car shows that symptom already. need to change battery soon. any recommendation? should I go normal or maintenance free?

Coolkwc provided a better/money saving solution to all of us. If your bat3 is original ramcar, you can tear off the sticker on top, you'll find water cap on top. Open it up check & see whether got enuf water to cover those nickle plates. If not, go buy bat3 water top it up. This can extend the bat3 life. However, if you see water level still sufice, then there's nothing you can do liao. Go bat3 shop ask them to load your bat3 check with the meter see how much left. Anything below 12.3v is dangerous, your car may not start anytime yawn.gif

what do you mean by high rpm shifting? shift up ke? shift down ke? can explain more?
*
Besides of 1st gear, around 3~3.5krpm shift up. Shift down also, double de-clutch to make sure RPM was kept within 2.5krpm range. Over taking also, downshift with double D, before acceleration icon_idea.gif Vacuum maintain -0.4~-0.6bar(or 12in/hg ~ 18in/hg)

ah.. this is gooding..  rclxms.gif  very nice info.. will try this out and compare fc..
currently i shifts up when it's 2k rpm for each gear.. @.@
*
Basically... blink.gif drive fast... and it save petrol. I know it doesn't make sense, but this is the only time I hit 400km after being infected by Luke virus. unsure.gif I do heel & toe on some of my car, but never success with BLM. Neither do I believe DbW can do double de-clutch, but was obsessed with Luke's driving style ever since he drove my car wub.gif Seems like I also adopted the petrol saving style by driving fast enough icon_idea.gif

The 2k shifting myth didn't work for me, not sure about others. I already dropped that.

any tips from your side to double declutch?  notworthy.gif
here's a video that i'm trying to learn from lol

That's exactly how it works. Single clutch will have problem because DbW very hard to gauge where the rev went as you step on your paddle. Prolly before you able to match the engine revving speed to match the gear you already crashed into the traffic light, or if you rev too much you get a wheel spin and crash into the opposite cars infront of traffic light. More like hit the clutch, let loose the gear to neutral, clutch again and let the speed gently blend in.

Unless you're driving fast, otherwise no point do single clutch rev up to down shift. Oftenly when you hear people before over taking, there will be 1 or 2 times rev up, they probably doing double de-clutch or single clutch rev up to match the gear rate. Bem! Bem! wub.gif

QUOTE(Jane's @ Jul 23 2012, 12:22 AM)
Bro davidke20, can you please explain exactly how double de-clutch is done? I'm driving a manual car (not GaGa unfortunately) actually but i've never tried this method before but wish to try it out. Many thanks in advance bro!
*
Refer to Calvin posted video will do. I didn't say the method works with other car, but it does work with my GaGa. Don't come back tell me your FC hike because doing double D.

I presume GaGa's low end torque sucks, keeping RPM within torque efficient range could be the FC rescuer rolleyes.gif

While I know the benefits of rev-matching, I don't understand why need to clutch twice coz I'm a manual noob.

Why not hold down the clutch after shifting, rev to the correct RPM, then only release the clutch leh?  notworthy.gif
*
Klat spling not stong enuf, single clutch if no rev up, immediately punch in lower gear(drop gear), you'll hear metal rubbing sound(queeek)

Normally if you're in a hurry, that will be single clutch rev up to match speed with gear, or if nearby corner will be heel & toe. Bem! Bem! wub.gif

your method, isn't that single clutch in the video?
maybe like davidke20 said, you'll crash before u even can match the rev lolz

no idea.. davidke20 kind enuf to explain more?  rclxms.gif
*
Dunno how to explain, I do damn a lot of single clutch with my Iswaga, but GaGa only able to do double clutch, and was never success any heel and toe so far. Either the car stopped at the middle of the road, or successful bang in gear but the car jerk like TFK.

Dun ask me why double clutching, but it work better than single clutch in my opinion, since I find it hard to control revving speed when clutch is attached on flywheel. Either DbW lagged, or accidently pump too much kena wheel spin. hmm.gif

Will arrange with Luke for a 2nd midnight MRR2 run. I already dunno what else can I share, everything seems like instinct now. I just wanna keep my RPM around 3krpm(besides of 1st gear) and thats about it.
