QUOTE(frost99 @ Oct 1 2012, 05:05 PM) I also kena this recently. In my case it was USD17 for Strawberrynet.com and USD125 for "Facebook Payment Interna" both on 30/9 within a minute of each other. I called CS, card will be cancelled and replaced at no charge, but I have to fill in a dispute form to avoid paying the fraud amount. Is this the same process CS advised you? Edit : If it matters, this happened on my AMEX and I called the overseas CS as I was not in-country and could not call the 1800 numbers. They told me to wait for next month statement (and they assured me that it wouldn't be credited). They said I can only file the dispute form if the amount is credited in the statement. Will update again if there further development.

QUOTE(GloryKnight @ Oct 1 2012, 09:39 PM) If I am in Thailand, I will have to call Malaysia's MBB to activate my credit card overseas right? You no need to "activate" for overseas usage but it is a good practice to inform your card issuer the period you are overseas so that they do not block your card in the event they cannot verify with you your transaction.

Ok, they did tell me that the transaction was "floating" and only if the vendor claims the amount then I will need to dispute. I was told to check back in about 5 days to see whether it was claimed or not. QUOTE(alexwsk @ Oct 1 2012, 11:50 PM) either that or you can dispute it once it shows up in M2U Agreed on this point. But if you cancelled the card it would be shown as "not authorized" in M2U and you cannot display transaction history, not that I can find anyway.

QUOTE(ckweng @ Oct 1 2012, 08:14 PM) Great! Thanks for the valuable info. Now i can utilise more of MBB2's rebates coz my Titanium sure full every month. Yea! Same here. Previously the overflow I charged to MBB Mastercard. Now, even AMEX is over 1k, still worth to charge to it because of its 5x TP. (Too bad there's only 2 transactions per week)

Thx for the clarification. I think I got mixed up, the card that is called to activate is atm? Im not sure I got my 5%rebate or not. I dont know how to see from my statement. lol.
