QUOTE(electron @ Jul 24 2012, 01:28 PM) likely it is the Beetle if its new modelhttp://paultan.org/2012/05/09/new-vw-beetl...2-tsi-rm138888/ seems abit too heavy for 1.2TSI IMHO, 1.4TSI will be good, there are 2.0TSI oversea same as GGTI engine |

(except P1 n P2) from what i've been reading the new MQB thinking means everything is going to simplify to improve performance. even twin scroll turbo become single scroll, i dunno if this is a good direction or not as i thought twin scroll is better. QUOTE(SeraphimGecko @ Jul 24 2012, 08:47 AM) Thanks for the update bro. ECU still the same. just that a new map is loaded into it. during the process, just connect the laptop to a port below the steering.and wait for 15-30mins to download. afterwards voila.Curios, why jetta need to remove ECU ? Tuners will replace with another ECU for the remapping ? if not, how does it work? QUOTE(echoesian @ Jul 25 2012, 12:07 AM) should be even more attractive price. but can the quality be good? rattles, windnoise etc are common probs for vw QUOTE(zenix @ Jul 25 2012, 12:22 AM) |

QUOTE(zenix @ Jul 25 2012, 12:46 AM) September is the time the golf mk7 gets revealed in the 2012 Paris car show, not the time they start selling it. Even Europe will have to wait until end of year or beginning of 2013. And if the trend follows, GTI usually gets launched later (for mk6 it's a year later I think), correct me if I'm wrong. Not trying to be a wet towel, just want to give you a more realistic estimate on when you can get your hands on the car whichever channel you're going for. Anyway PKR is pledging to abolish car tax if they're voted. I just got my car for a month lol. Crap. I hope existing car owners get some sort of tax refund on the taxes we paid for the cars. QUOTE(Vinceyang @ Jul 25 2012, 10:13 AM) Currently Singapore only have Beetle 1.2, hope that by September Malaysia will have all 1.2, 1.4 and 2.0 variant. 1.4 selling at 160k seems reasonable as Golf 1.4 is also fall in that range.Heard that 1.4 is selling at 160k Hopefully 1.2 will be selling around 110k |

Quoting Mavik in another thread.:Note that not all cars can just be easily loaded into the ECU via a program. VW lately has been doing a lot of security measures which requires the ECU to be removed and benched (e.g. taking out the ECU, remove the tamper safe screws and then direct mapping there). The removal of the tamper safe screws is obvious to the dealers to know that the ECU has been tampered with. Unquote. This post has been edited by SeraphimGecko: Jul 26 2012, 01:20 PM |
