yes thats why trying on a suit by urself is very crucial!!! too bad my place here dont hv any descent bike apparel shop.. so sad when i comes to think of it sometimes.. and i didnt get to go back msia so often  cry.gif

i personally dont like Alpinestar designs la laugh.gif no offense to AS fans, thats my personal preference rolleyes.gif

Dainese and RS Taichi are my current favorites but but but.... still yet to own either one of them sweat.gif and definitely they will be owned for my first suit thumbup.gif

I own a GMX motion jacket paired with a RSY817 pants for touring/distance rides as my 2pc gear. For 1pc, I have a Spidi Track Wind Pro.

My advice:
1. Go leather for maximum safety. Besides acting like a 2nd skin to your precious skin, you would surely look darn good in a suit
2. Fit. Must be skin tight! I am 65kg at 165cm - my GMX is size 48 and Spidi is at 46. After my 1st crash, I tailored my GMX for a skin tight fit on both my sleeves
3. Ventilation - get a suit with proper ventilation to maintain temperature composure. Always wear a baselayer
4. Inner linings - better still if it can be detachable for proper sanitation. Baselayer helps in this area as well
5. Budget - get one which fits your budget

I send my leather wear to laundry where they will dry clean the inside and treat the leather with mink oil.

Initially I was also contemplating on getting a 2pc Dainese Laguna Seca - but the fit & vents is not exactly to my liking though it look damn good.

what's ur personal review on this set bro phobian?

1. yes i indeed planning to go leather for long distance ride.. thus wanna maintain 2 sets of riding gear, now i have my mesh gear on already..
2. skin tight as in how helmet must be snugly fitted on ur head? lol that will be darn hot riding in our weather!!
3. GMX Motion is perforated leather right? thus ventilation is there and suitable for our hot weather sportbike riding style thumbup.gif
4. do u mean inner suit lining? once i get my suit yes i would definitely get an inner suit liner biggrin.gif
5. budget is ~RM3k laugh.gif

Dainese has really god damn nice suits.. but i realized most of them are not perforated like what the RS Taichi has to offer. Dainese does offer breathable materials, as u said the vents might not work as well as perforated leather.. Laguna Seca suit a bit out of my budget thus aiming for the Avro Div 2-pc if i would have to choose a Dainese nod.gif

Its a very wide matter to address.
What are the facts that we have here,
(Lets not discuss shopping malls, just a simple parking building will do.)

1. some have designated motor entrance. usually flat rate.
2. some have motor lane entrance but no fee.
3. some have no motor entrance per se, but you will see motorbike parking spot.
4. some have no entrance nor parking spot for motor.

If you're up for parking the bike at valet parking, go ahead. But the "management" reserves the right to refuse customers. The reason? Valet parking means the cars will be moved around to accommodate the other cars coming and going, hence, most likely you'll be giving the keys to the valet. For the bike, the probably wont want to play around so much hence they might reject you.

I once payed about 20 bucks for valet, but parked the bike myself in a spot cars cant get to anyway, so it was win-win for us. But if they demand to keep your keys, I just walk away.

aah, interestingly, I tried this a couple of times.

1. one time my bike was chained. laugh.gif the bike version of clamped.
2. another time when exiting, even though i payed for the ticket, the palang wouldnt go up. The censor below may have no detected the weight of the bike.

2. Yes - super snugly fit. For flex zones, like the waist, knees, elbows and shoulders just make sure they have flex
3. Yes, it is perforated. Comes with a windproof liner - i dont use it unless weather is gloomy or I just dont feel like having a windblast
4. Yes, inner suit.
5. Budget 3K u can get both the GMX jacket and pants. Good for long rides and can take it down to the track as well.

My personal review for my GMX setup is pretty good. Since I had a mild crash with it (on the right side shoulder) it held up pretty well. Leather is quite supple and the jacket vents well when you are moving. I ride a naked bike, hence wind blast is a plenty.

tell u what - most sensors are magnetic based - i.e. your vehicle "cut" the magnetic field when it passess by the designated area, thus triggering the switch. in your case, you may have not slowed down or stopped at the correct place to "cut" the magnetic field

but next time, just bring a hypermotard and go over the curbs like a bawse... hahaha

so far i've only been to Mid Valley and KLCC bike's parking lot

Mid Valley - it's quite tricky to get there as there's no clear signboard directing u to the entrance..it is super hot down there as it shares the same road as loading bays route so expect bad conditioned road there..i don't really like to park there, after couple of times i tried my luck to park at the centre court main entrance and ask permission from the security guards there and they let me park as long i'm not obstructing the road..so new spot for me, and it's free too biggrin.gif

KLCC - easy to find as there's clear signboard showing u where to go, the parking space also is very spacious and there's a lot of superbike in there, Z750, Ninja 250R, Blade 250R, Versys, R1, ZX10, GTR 1400, Harley Davidson and so on..i bet they were owned by Petronas staff..so i felt secure to park there and they provide paid locker to keep your helmets and stuff..so far i'm happy to park my bike there

Midvalley parking is really a mess. If you have to ride, ride a cubchai there. Entrace just follow all the loading bay signs.

I work in midvalley so I use the lot everyday. Nice thing is that I come earlier than shopping hours, so I can use the limited big-bike parking lot at the first bike lot after entering midvalley's loading bay from federal highway

I always park there too whenever I go to MV. last time I parked at the police area but now too packed already. the so called big bike parking below probably can only accommodate 6-8 bikes at most, so far I always manage to park there. but 1 thing I hate is the humps, they are quite high compared to normal ones. choppers will have trouble with them I guess but most of time I went out from the way I came in, less hassle. I guess others are doing the same too.

No offense to other riders out there, but sometimes i find it unreasonable for some of the smaller bikes (that can fit in the lot) that consumes the big bike place outside.

I do agree on the humps though. The first two humps have some side gap that bikes can get through, but the others are just too darn high. I had to adjust my midpipe's clap's bolts 90 degrees otherwise i keep hitting the hump and potentially crack my headers.

ninja 250 consider as big bike only.. Peep tend to get offended when u call the ninja250 as superbike sweat.gif
Anyway, i u earn around 2.5k, no car, no house to pay, then u can start riding a ninja250 already... Its not that exp to own n to maintain compare with 'real' superbike... If u want to go to the supersports route(zx6,zx10,r6,r1,cbr 600&1000) or any other 4inline 600cc above bike, then u need to earn min 4k, witout car, house n other loan to service also, because maintaining it can be more expensive than maintaining a myvi or any other entry level japanese car...
