Do not just look at the DPS.
You need to look at the damage range.
Some 700DPS weapons have better damage range than 800DPS weapons.

thats whats happening and thus in your "experience", monk gears are cheaper

the other skills such as sweeping winds for example, ticks faster as you have more IAS (faster weapon speed)

so at the end of the day, it will average out and hence looking at the dps alone CAN be sufficient.

for an easy comparison/idea, compare using 1 handed daggers vs 2hander pole arms (yes i use dual wield and 2hander depending on my mood/situation )

Most likely hood you wont even get near 20 million with stats. GAH is now super crazy, thanks to Bot Farmers.

With socket itself is now 10MIL, LOH up another 5-8mil, with CD up another 5-8mil.

With stats like that and dps range 800+ , im looking at 30mil at least.

Don't understand how these ppl get so much money ...

yupz.. i do look in to that ... my one of my current weapon 7xx dps.. but range is 3xx - 820 ..

i got hard time to find a replacement for my others fist..

dps 717
range 3xx - 720
2xx dex
2xx vit
2xx LOH
with socket

totally cant find a weapon can replace this...

ur weapon now is quite good already. i dun think u can find better dps weapon with the all the good stat below cheap.....u will have to lower the Dex and vit to 1XX then maybe can get 800~900 DPS cheaper.

It could be very expensive to have 200+ DEX and VIT.
Try looking for 200+ DEX with lower VIT. And look for life% in other gears.

Besides, try look for weapon without socket.
Some weapon with no socket has decent stats too, i.e. with LOH and Crit DMG

So its back to same old story again -> How much is enough? One can clear Inferno with as low as 22k hp (yes I'm referring to you Quazacolt) but with 50k hp, would it be better?

Dex 2k all in enough -> armor/damage?
VIT 1.5k enough -> hp 50k?

dilemma dilemma.

i am going through halfway inferno act 4 solo, with

20k DPS duel weilding (unbuff)
5k armor
30k life
850 Loh
880 AR

is hard but i think can clear inferno.

the KEY here, is effective hp. you can have 100k hp, but if you have no resist/armor, you WILL get 1 shotted.
like wise having high armor/AR, 22k hp can still take a LOT of hits.

OBVIOUSLY, if you have the choice of having same AR/Armor and between 20k and 50k hp, the 50k wins. however you also have to realize stats arent free, to get x you need to sacrifice y, unless you have a shit ton of money to dump on AH for better gear that has both x and y

+ I already finish diablo, so now just farming act 3 to sell in RMAH. But sales abit slow, last time cans ell 2-5 items in a day, now....sold 3 items in 2 days.

yup, i already got ready a shield and test out some defensive skill for preparation if it get too tough with duel weilding and offensive skills.

i think having armor is better than res. hp is useless even you have 50k coz it will go down fast without armor

my barb 200 res but armor buff 15k. can survive arcane better than my monk.

In act 1, my monk walk over the fire floor trap thingie. i see damage 1200 something. barb walk over like less than 1k. Armor win.

IMHO, i feel that LoH is costly and much overrated

if you kill fast enough i doubt you would need it

if you cant kill fast enough just kite around till your skills cooldown and there you go again but then again it still depends on the elites affixes and the skills you are using

You either spend on LOH or "kill-fast-enough" gear ... It's the same ..

A LoH of 1.5k allow you to stand in Disserator. 1k LoH allows you to bath in plaque

well it all depends on your personal preference.

used to play with LoH but now i dont and by the time my serenity over should be able to kill one of the elites even if its act 3 and kite a lil for the others thereafter

if its shielding then different case gotta kite more

May i know how much ur dps? can kill an elite in 4seconds, i really impressed!

of course extra health cannot la haha

around 50k dps buffed with blazing wrath

atm farming vault of assasin by swapping MF gears is much more efficient and effective for me

at the same time you get maybe 50k per run which takes about 15-20 mins including other places such as black canyon mines etc

as for act 3 there are so many mobs and they are higher hp so it might take longer to finish and the chances of you dying are higher as well.

conclusion for me act vault of assasin for the win
