QUOTE(adx @ Jan 12 2013, 11:14 PM) Wired up but the distribution point all at balcony la bro. Why need to pull some more cable if all are ready. I just need to put the BTU near there. Btw, I'll put the BTU temporarily in plastic box and drill it up at the highest place and later I decided to make the balcony itself into study room. Anyone really have experience pls share, those who don't, save your advice, I have common sense. QUOTE Why need to pull some more cable if all are ready i didnt say pull cable bro.. umm i thought u said house all already got wired up?? that why i though it better put btu anywhere inside house then cable to other parts easy since already wired.... maybe i got confusedbut i hv experience placing stuffs in plastic/wood box outdoor... which is same as (open roof future study).. anyways... your last part about common sense is right.. here (jus for other user future reference) I put some links for ppl without common sense: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humidity#Electronics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dust |

QUOTE(justng @ Jan 12 2013, 11:19 AM) Hi Guys, have anyone of you seen the notice at www.hypp.tv ? They announced that on 1st Feb 2013, TM will be stopping the service of hypp.tv. Although they inform that this is because of bringing in a new and improved service, they did not mention when this "new & improved" service will be made available. Or even if it's going to be re-launched. TM is launching more channels. There will be a new package called jade after their new launchAnyone with current subscriptions of hypp.tv channels that have got notice or information about the unavailability of the service? Is any of you guys use CCTV Unifi and port forward them? Do you get problems like sometimes the feed will be unreachable with no reason?
Mine like this one, its working and then suddenly can't reach CCTV already..even using the same network (if view from H/P using local wifi). |

QUOTE(adx @ Jan 12 2013, 09:36 AM) Question: 1. It depends on the installer. Some nice one also ask where the prefer place by customer.1. Can I ask them to install the FTB as near as possible to the front balcony or they will choose the shortest place from the pole? 2. If they ever install the FTB at the back, is it at the first floor or second floor? I read somewhere, standard install is at first floor. 3. I would like to pull the cable over the ceilling up to the balcony in front (more or less 15 meter from back to front) if FTB is at the back. I read that they will charge for over the ceilling work, so I plan to climb it myself. I can do this, last time I do my own piping bypass in the ceilling myself. Pulling the cable will be much more easier. Will they allow this? 4. Related to 3 above, do it need to prepare a conduit inside the ceilling or the indoor fiber cable can be pull naked from FTB to FWS? 5. So they will NOT need to supply me any RJ45 cable and phone line cable, can I ask for it? 6. Due to the cable centre distribution point is outside of the house, will they allow for BTU there? The BTU will be safe from the rain etc but alas it's outside. If I told them, I'll install a box and put the BTU inside, will it be enough? Pls advice. I'm want to make sure this installation free of extra charges. Thanks. 2. First floor, standard installation. 3. You need the fibre cable from the installer (from FTB to BTU), and terminate the fiber at BTU - modem so cannot done by yourself. 4. Fibre cable inside (not expose to outdoor), don't need a conceal piping for it. Got is a plus but not a must. 5. Rj45 and phone line cable is come together with the Router (last time there were at least 3 RJ45 come together with the router), my experience of previous installation. 6. Don't understand the situation. BTU is a modem, expose at outside is not something advisable, or you mean FTB? FTB surely need to put at outside, and preferable not subjected to rain. QUOTE(teriyakicat89 @ Jan 13 2013, 05:28 PM) Hi guys, Nope nothing to pay. When I did it 2 years ago they even told me not to settle any little bit outstanding on the bill until they close the account during upgrade process (which is during or after install of Unifi).I am currently subscribing streamyx 1mbps package, i want to upgrade to unifi. Do i need to pay anything when i go to TM center to upgrade to unifi? If need, how much? TQ. |

hello guys..
right now i'm subscribing to streamyx 1mb.. interested to get the unifi vip 5 package.. but i have some question from my understanding, the telephone will be connected to the BTU unit..i'm planning to put the BTU at study room at upstair.. so if my house have telephone line that already been covered in wall after renovation (from pole, thru the ceiling and end at living hall at downstair), means that i can't use the existing wiring rite? means that i have to redo the wiring from study room to living hall to connect the telephone with BTU, right? |

Anyone having problems paying TM Bill online via credit card?
Usually works fine for me ... last week tried to pay 3-4 times, each time rejected "Transaction Failed" Don't want the outstanding amount to grow as I believe they will stop service after 3 months in arrears ? (currently only 2 months due) |
