Commenting on the NEW L7 router.
Concluded with setting up the "Port Forwarding" & "WAN ping responses" will not be working on this L7 router. Double checked with UNIFI call center, 2nd level also confirmed it might not work. This will be an issue to forward your port using CCTV & Hostings. Unless someone able to get it work? |

Guys,
Anyone successfully port forward on unifi? I want to port forward port 80 to my CCTV but even after resorting to DMZ I still can't access the port from outside. Using standard router supplied by TM. (silver dlink) |

I subbed to Unifi like 2 years ago now and then moved at the end of last month. Did the paperwork for relocation and it was mostly painless
They took away my beautiful Hua Wei BTU and replaced it with this ugly ass FiberHome AN5506 FTTH Onu bullshit though I can't even take a picture of it, it's just... hideous. |

Unifi is available at my area, at last. Just subscribe yesterday through an agent. The agent insist that I dont need to choose my own login name. What the.. I want to customise it the way I like. Better if I subscribe via online. But no matter. It's cool.
I want to be prepare for installation and most importantly to avoid extra charge. First, my situation: 1. Double storey terrace house. 2. I have in-building RJ45 cable and phone line from the balcony (in front) to every room and living room too including a phone line from there to downstair. I want to put BTU here and RG+STB+DECT downstair at living room. 4. The tm pole is directly behind my house. Question: 1. Can I ask them to install the FTB as near as possible to the front balcony or they will choose the shortest place from the pole? 2. If they ever install the FTB at the back, is it at the first floor or second floor? I read somewhere, standard install is at first floor. 3. I would like to pull the cable over the ceilling up to the balcony in front (more or less 15 meter from back to front) if FTB is at the back. I read that they will charge for over the ceilling work, so I plan to climb it myself. I can do this, last time I do my own piping bypass in the ceilling myself. Pulling the cable will be much more easier. Will they allow this? 4. Related to 3 above, do it need to prepare a conduit inside the ceilling or the indoor fiber cable can be pull naked from FTB to FWS? 5. So they will NOT need to supply me any RJ45 cable and phone line cable, can I ask for it? 6. Due to the cable centre distribution point is outside of the house, will they allow for BTU there? The BTU will be safe from the rain etc but alas it's outside. If I told them, I'll install a box and put the BTU inside, will it be enough? Pls advice. I'm want to make sure this installation free of extra charges. Thanks. This post has been edited by adx: Jan 12 2013, 09:52 AM |

Hi Guys, have anyone of you seen the notice at www.hypp.tv ? They announced that on 1st Feb 2013, TM will be stopping the service of hypp.tv. Although they inform that this is because of bringing in a new and improved service, they did not mention when this "new & improved" service will be made available. Or even if it's going to be re-launched.
Anyone with current subscriptions of hypp.tv channels that have got notice or information about the unavailability of the service? |

hi
i wish to relocate my unifi... ya i know need to pay RM300 for relocate but.. my other question is 1)will TM need to pole the fibre optic into my house? that will cost many u see =.= my old house last time built without fibre optic 2)or.. i terminate this and register new 1 for my old house? since there will be RM200 installation fee waived and 1 month free (will there include pulling line?== 3) can i appoint the TM worker come and have a look before i do any relocate or termination? PS: current stay is condo, so that time no need any pulling line charges. old house is Double storey house thx for replying This post has been edited by jasonchaw: Jan 12 2013, 07:22 PM |

QUOTE(pacatU13 @ Jan 9 2013, 09:18 AM) yesterday i tried downloading software & songs, the average is 300 - 400kbps only.. i also face experienced the same things. i'm using vip5 and my speed test shows download& upload speed is about 4.7mbps.. is there any setting need to be done..?? does my reuter capped the speed..?? i'm not tech savy.. i red the unifi handbook but i'm dont really understand it.. Currently using TM networks L7-N-R2000 with lan cable to my pc.. some website will give u slower download speed, i thinks it depends on the server location on which the files is hosted. |

QUOTE(izzat80 @ Jan 12 2013, 02:55 PM) i tell u something bro Wired up but the distribution point all at balcony la bro. Why need to pull some more cable if all are ready. I just need to put the BTU near there. Btw, I'll put the BTU temporarily in plastic box and drill it up at the highest place and later I decided to make the balcony itself into study room. Anyone really have experience pls share, those who don't, save your advice, I have common sense.if u want free installation then u just DONT ask for anything like put this here put there.. u just stay quite give some water and pretend u dont know whats going on yea some of contractor good but others .....so so.. anything u say right away they reply (NOT STANDARD INSTALL must pay).. u say u have ur house all wire up so what the prob? just let them put any place and u use cable+switch to take to anywhere u want.... also u say BTU OUTSIDE |
