Nah,you don't need SSD just for that. Normal SATA 3 and Gigabit Lan combo will get you a fast enough speed.

nah
fast enough... of coz.. but can hdd bottleneck? yes can....
sata 3 7200rpm (most people got this): 80mbytes/s
gigabit network card + real gigabit rotuer/switch: 120mbytes/s

it will slow u down.. jus coz (interface) like sata iii is 6gb/s doesn mean ur hdd can transfer that rate.. it can transfer at what the hdd itself can read/write not its interface

IRL you don't need that much speed. 80MB/s transfer is fast enough for most people. The price vs speed ratio is too high to make SSD a viable option other than just a boot/Operating System drive. A normal SATA 3 1TB cost less than RM400, which at the same price, could only get you at most a 120GB SSD. While a Gigabit Lan might be bottlenecked by the HDD, it's a better option than using a Fast Ethernet connection where it's the other way around, in which your network is bottlenecking the transfer speed.

Why does Malaysian BTUs do not have 1000mbps ports?

No plans to offer anything beyond 100mbps for homes anytime soon ?

Hey guys, anyone using the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND router? I can't seem to install. No connection once all the settings are done. I also noticed that the lights at my Lan1 connection on my modem also has the blinking orange and a stable green light. What does that mean because when I use the D-Link router just got the blinking orange light only.
