the easiest and less messy approach will be to put the BTU and stuff upstairs in 1 of the bedrooms.
easier to pull the white cable up to ceiling and come down to any other room.
This will be non standard installation and if you kao tim with the contractor is about RM 200.
The IPTV you can use home plug to connect to your TV downstairs

Guys,

who's UNIFI connection is from the green box on the ground and not from the telephone pole?

using the one on the ground, TM said there's no drilling needed

my question is, does that use fibre or just like apartments and condos that uses copper, VDSL2?
*
Nairud,

my connection is from the green box at the back alley.
sort of no drilling needed as the fiber will go through the ceiling outside the house.
from there it'll need to drop down into 1 of the rooms upstairs.
TM will will charge you for over ceiling installation though.

my connection is fully fiber to the BTU.

Thanks

but why from upstair's ceiling?

if it's already underground, where's the outlet?
*
the UG goes under the back alley then comes up again at the backyard area.
It follows the wall up to the ceiling outdoor.

which outlet do you mean?
the outdoor fiber to indoor fiber box is put on the wall outside the house

sorry

inside the house. I only see a phone jack outlet and the tv atenna only
*
Oh..inside the house..
Refer to pic located here.

Can see from the 3rd pic
There'll be a fiber optic termination point.
Another small box to get the signal from the black wire to a flexible fiber cable.
From there it'll connect to the BTU (1st pic) the white cable.

LOL

i know la the FOTP, i have unifi in my current crib and drilling was required.

My new house is underground fibre, hence i wanna know where is the termination point if there's no drilling required as per claim by ppl/unifi for underground fibre. i dont see it around the house or maybe i overlooked
*
ahhh..now i get you
unless there's a way for the fiber to go from the outside straight to the telephone port, i think still need to drill.
mine no drill as it goes all the way up to the ceiling

@jack2, do you have LAN cable to your TV area?
if yes then install all the stuff in the bedroom and just need 1 LAN to IPTV box.
if not then just need to get home plug to connect to TV area.
else...just ignore the IPTV...just use it as pure internet access only.

For me...i install the BTU in the bedroom, then LAN cable down to TV area. router and all installed near TV... then LAN cable up to bedroom for my PC tongue.gif

er...why do you need a gigabit one?
since the speed allowed by ISP is only up to 100 Mbps (time)
the rest is around 10-20 only mar

if no TV there how they going to test?
means they wont even test it.
they just ask you to sign all ok and leave
next time when you want the HyppTV, you have to call them in again and get service charge lo
