The Asus is good in a sense that it comes with a FullHD screen and awesome B&O speakers, you'll love it~
Depends on where you are based and whether you mind postage or not laugh.gif
Try contacting "devour", he should be able to give you a good price and also good after sales service icon_rolleyes.gif

I "fixed" all Asus laptop prices according to their price catalog nod.gif
The price tags are either Rm100 cheaper or RM100 dearer, so I just make it more consistent by just following the price catalogs laugh.gif

*Now you know how much Asus is cheating charging you guys brows.gif

Ok. Cancel go for Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 430. I decide to go with Dell Vostro 3450. Got offer at RM1700 with this spec, i5-2520M, 4GB, 500GB ,HD6630 1GB. Vostro ok or not ah? sweat.gif

That 3450 most likely either old stock or refurbish. hmm.gif

Vostro are good picks, especially when covered by Dell's superb warranty brows.gif
Vostro 3450 is relativel yolder, but at that price, its a steal if original, that is laugh.gif
Below are the prices of the newer Vostro 3460:
14"
Dell
Vostro 3460, i3-2370M + Intel HD3000@RM2039[2.23kg], 4GB, 500GB(7200rpm), W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze
Vostro 3460, i3-2370M + Nvidia GT630M@RM2219[2.23kg], 4GB, 500GB(7200rpm), W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze
Vostro 3460, i5-3210M + Intel HD4000@RM2499[2.23kg], 4GB, 500GB(7200rpm), W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze
Vostro 3460, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT630M + 32GB SSD + 500GB(7200rpm) HDD@RM2899[2.23kg], 4GB, W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze

Remember to extend warranty to 3 years, if not no point getting a Dell laugh.gif

Errr?
CPU or GPU performance first? laugh.gif
You will notice performance differences for programs optimized for quad-core processors- mostly those rendering/ calculation software
Gaming-wise, most of the time i5 and i7 won't bring much difference... the GPU is more important  nod.gif

emm okay then
but T.J , can you give me an example of i5 laptops that have better gpu ?

Thanks bro. The RM1700 is FreeDOS. But he offer RM1800 with Genuine Win7 Pro. Damn sweet. Will check the authentication upon COD. And the set is Dell Refurbish unit. Need to call Dell personally to upgrade to 3yrs warranty. tongue.gif
