Why DiGi/Maxis charge for SIM cards ? Its suppose to be something that comes with the service right ? I was being charged RM10 to change my sim card to the micro sim, i told that CS lady why have to pay ? Im using postpaid not prepaid. She smiled took out a SIM card cutter and cut for me. FOC.

i also change to digital clock.. but also cannot last longer than a day.. can say better a bit...

The CS lady probably forgotten to bring money to buy lunch that day.

All along, normal simcard has no issue.
All bcoz of ipong. I think soon will have even smaller sim and even more prob.
Need more skillful ppl soon...

i'm using celcom.. and i change to new micro sim FOC..

lol sim card still cost geh .. i'd rather pay mere RM10 for a new micro sim instead later cut cannot use >.<

Maxis will change for you, you just need paid RM 25 for replacement.

let telco cut 1st if can't then change new 1 foc.. if let other abit hard liau.. cos telco can't simply cut & bring them troublesome 2 change new sim card again..

the samsung specky fat guy! cos maxis centre far away frm my home.. waste petrol & need find parking.. so i find the nearest which is samsung centre.. really regretted now..

Is not Maxis cut wrongly for you, you not paying RM 25, Maxis got right not exchange for you.

i not yet ask maxis.. i use other way.. said 1 of the maxis guy cut but i can't rmb who.. they always check record 1st b4 deal v us.. let him c my bills.. then ask manager come out if they still wanna charge me..

Cut is FOC, but exchange to microSIM now charging.

Now that is what I call a telco that is wise and appreciates their users.


After she cut it using a small machine that looks like a paper puncher to me. I tested it in my phone immediately Working fine, no problem. If doesnt work then change replace to micro sim on the spot since im already there. Try luck and see. Touch wood till now working 100% fine.

from microsim change 2 new microsim also charge?? just 1 small piece charge RM25 really overkill..

there's one tactic.
File in complain as lost phone, ask them to give replacement microsim (do not ask them to block the line otherwise activation will cost you RM10), immediately call up 123 call center and ask for a exemption of the RM25

If you are Celcom loyal customer for more than a year, you can get your simcard changed FOC.

It's normal with micro SIM cutter that you gonna lose side of the gold of your normal SIM. It's a none issue actually. Everything is fine.

weird. last time i buy s3 at maxis pavillion. i change to micro sim for free.
i buy with the 1 year contract. at first the manager said i have to pay rm25.
but then the lady givin me free of charge. i tot maybe because i buy the phone with contract or whatsoever
