Have a old NP8660 that i'm thinking of converting but not sure if the mountings need to be changed ?

The 180W adapter is compulsory.

The NP8130 cannot upgrade its GPU to GTX 6 series, which 5 series GPU you want to use?
*
Are u sure about that bro? cause i think i read somewhere there are ppl out there changing their GC's for their NP8130 which of course needs a bigger Power supply (180W) and they are using GTX675M and ATI7970. Which by any chance are u guys selling it as standalone along with the Power supply ? And how much does it cost ? Of course you will need to flash ur bios. And correct me if i'm wrong, Isnt the NP8130 and NP8150 the exact same thing interms of build ? Except NP8150 has a bigger default power supply? Here are the links by the way...

Hi guys,

Currently contemplating on whether I should wait until 2013 to get a new laptop or I should just stick with my current one. Been playing games smoothly so far with my current setup (check siggy) but I feel that it's time to retire that old one (turning 3 years in Feb'13) and move to a new one. What do you guys think?

If the current models, I'm looking at the 9150 which is just the same size as my current one and I'm not too keen on getting anything bigger than that. I did see that the powerbrick for the new laptop is HUGE. :|

if you want to catch up with gaming performance, you can change it. HD5870M couldnt handle most of the modern games at high graphics settings now. if you want to use just for work, keep it till it died. smile.gif

I would add another 4GB RAM, or change 'em to 8GB x 2.

Other than that, since you're already running things smoothly, why change ? The longer you wait, the better things get anyway laugh.gif

Besides you may need that $$ for something else. Holiday ? New hobby ?

Just some feedback from friends ...

Many have been tempted to buy from ILLEGEAR but got put off by how the NAME/BRAND sounds tongue.gif ("Ill" , "illegal" "gilikgear")

I think you have a solid product and know what you're doing. so IMHO perhaps just a name tweak would help draw even more customers in.

I think our name is good and fine. ILLEGEAR is obviously not ILL, ILLEGAL or GILIKGEAR.

MSI is not MS, Acer is not Ace, Alienware is not Alien, Inspiron is not InPrison.

Money is not the most important thing to us. We don't use a name which sounds good to everyone.

The name conveys what are we doing, what our products are all about.

Fn + 5 only change the speaker configuration at Realtek Audio Manager from Stereo to 5.1. Barely can notice sound quality improvement.

P170EM speaker is worse than the P370EM, while P370EM Onkyo speaker is worse than MSI GT's Dynaudio. i hope clevo redesign their laptops for better keyboard support, better speakers and no built-in mic in the middle of the keyboard (talkin on the mic while typing really irritate the listeners).

My bad..Clevo has removed this feature on P170EM. P170HM's sound quality was really good though.
