Are there any Sager/Clevo resellers in Malaysia that is good and trustworthy? I was hoping to get OriginPC but it was too expensive to ship it to Malaysia. Thanks for the help!! ^^

guys, wanna ask that whether dual 7970M and dual GTX680M which one is better? Although I know GTX680M should be better among the duo, but 7970M still got any problems? cuz I saw people complaining the fps dropping suddenly mid game and back to normal after a sec or 2, and it occured quite a few times. Illegear dun have dual GTX680M currently. So, I am most probably stuck with that choice, and I need more confirmation b4 I buy it. Thanks! ^^

QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ Dec 24 2012, 09:48 AM) That depends on how very careful you are on using the laptop. My laptop still going strong after almost 2 years of usage (Except LAN ports which burned during sudden thunder strike) Guess I didn't mention properly. Sorry. I mean battery life. Sorry.. >< Added on December 24, 2012, 11:46 amQUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Dec 24 2012, 10:31 AM) RX17 will be 1.8 hours if you have dual GTX680M SLI, while dual HD7970M CrossFireX will be less than 1 hour. as for RS17, it has nvidia optimus or amd enduro, so will last approximately 3 hours. Hallelujah!!! That is so short!!! I want a gaming laptop for both schooling and gaming.. T-T what should I do?? I want a very powerful laptop.. SAGER NP9370, WHY YOUR BATTERY LIFE SO SHORT!!!!???? QUOTE(soundsyst64 @ Dec 24 2012, 12:01 PM) Dude. Gaming in battery mode is not recommended. It doesn't give enough juice. It makes your frame-per-second in game lower. There's no high-end gaming laptop that has longer battery life. If you want to play game, it is recommended to use power adapter. I am not planning to play in school. I want a laptop so that I could get more portability. I just want to record notes or maybe do some homework in school only.

Illegear don't have the second battery option. And I didn't enroll in the school before. So, I not sure whether are there any plugs near the seat I am going to be given. I think I should get M17X ba.. Will earn money and buy from illegear in the future after I finished my studies. Currently need more battery life and gaming laptop. Haiz.. If RX17 can last longer, then I would definitely get it.

QUOTE(Prince J @ Dec 24 2012, 05:29 PM) Yes I do agreed that students need more battery life. We do sell 2nd Battery, although it is not stated online. Apart from battery life, you should take weight into serious consideration if you want to bring it to school. Alienware M17X - 4.3kg to 5.4kg depending on configuration RX-17 - 3.9Kg with battery pack Anyway, thanks for ever considering our system Hm.. I don't really care about the weight(Imma macho, haha, just kidding) cuz Eventhough RX17 was given with 2 batteries, I don't think it could match a single M17X's battery(that's the sad part) I really want to get RX17 but in the school I entering, I might need to use up to a couple of hours, around 3-4 hours.

QUOTE(jimmykvt @ Dec 24 2012, 07:18 PM) Hmm..., Battery life of RX17 (8-cell) vs M17X (9-cell). Does it make a lot of difference? I'm not sure But definitely two RX17 batteries > one M17X battery, in terms of both battery life and weight :] RX17 is dual GPU while M17x is single GPU. So, battery life M17x is the clear winner. dual 7970 can last around 2-2.5hours while M17x can last around 4 hours with single battery. Though, 2 batteries. Not sure. Maybe can do? Though not recommended as I will taking down notes in class. Lol..

QUOTE(jimmykvt @ Dec 24 2012, 08:55 PM) Ah Okay, I got it now. The RX17 comes with a dual GPU. Hmm..., you can always choose RS17. I know RS17 has issue with AMD Enduro stuff but you can always choose the GTX680M, unless it is necessary for you to go for AMD? As far as I know Nvidia Optimus has been around for quite some time already compared to AMD Enduro. So, I dare enough to say that Nvidia Optimus technology is more mature than AMD Enduro technology, no? Besides GTX680M, you can still have a LCD matte screen. For some people, they might have issue with reflective (Glossy) screen, therefore matte screen is good option. But I think for portability and at the same time for the power, RS15 would do fine because you can always get rid of the dvd rom and replace it with another HDD. Rarely using dvd rom these days. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Here is what I had configured RS17 for your reference.
ILLEGEAR RS-17 Promotion Details : Display: 17.3" Full HD LED-Backlit Display with Matte Finished Surface (1920 x 1080) Perfect Screen Display: Professional Color Calibration [FREE] Processor: 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM Processor Graphics Card: 4GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 680M GPU with Optimus / Embedded Intel HD Graphics Thermal Compound: IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU [FREE] RAM: 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz - 2 X 8GB (FREE) RAID Storage Options: Non-RAID Storage Primary Hard Disk Drive: Western Digital Scorpio Black 500GB 7200rpm SATA2 Hard Drive (FREE) 2nd Hard Disk Drive: None mSATA SSD Drive: None Optical Drive Bay: 8X DVD±R/RW/4X +DL Super-Multi Drive & Software Wireless Network Card: Killer™ Wireless-N 1202 802.11 A/B/G/N Wireless LAN + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Module Operating System: Genuine MS Windows® 8 64-Bit Edition Warranty: ILLEGEAR 2 Year Limited Warranty RM 7214
If I want to take RS17, I would rather take M17X due to the chassis. I like AW's chassis, but if there are something more powerful than the specs, then I would go for it. Clearly, RS17 is about the same specs as M17x, no? O.O

QUOTE(aviator.v8 @ Jan 16 2013, 06:13 PM) i'm currently have enough budget to get a gaming laptop.. so anyone here who have much enough experience with sager, can you state the pros n cons of this machine? alienware laptop also is on my list. Oh ya.. The upgrade options are better, IMO.. They have a classic feel rather than a gaming feel.. Though if you do no want people to rob you, better go for sager cuz nowadays a lot of people should know about AW as a premium product. haha.. That's what I think about AW, not any cases happen before. :3 There a lot of people got sager I guess.. Why don't you ask Prince J? I think he should know a lot more than I do.. Some of the sifus here are also quite experienced with the product. As for me, I would go for Sager if I can. not sure do I help or not.. Lol..
