no additional charges. you willing to pay that much just for the shipping alone?
*
It's still cheaper in US price when I customize more than I customize on illegear. The shipping is expensive I agree, but after customization it's still almost 1k cheaper than on illegear.

Hi guys,

I have one question, I'm about to order a NP9150 from xoticpc. Will it be delivered right to my doorstep or will it need to go through our custom?

Yup, that's why I was in a dilemma to get from illegear or xoticpc. In the end, since it had promotion, I opted to with xoticpc.

What promotion do you mean? If that's back to school special, we are offering it.

Can you advise where is the RM1000 price difference?

ok let me do some math here, xoticpc.com offer 1280 usd +200 for shipping giving total = 1480 that makes 4626 ringgit versus 5200 illegear.com
but let's take this scenario: you buy for 1480(pay by cimbclicks, credit card or paypal) then send it to virtual us address(basically this are companies in us which buyer given US address where he can send items from us, later that company packs you items and send them to here, examples are www.myus.com(charge max usd 100 for shipping to Malaysia, or other read more here Click Me some of them allow to ship for USD 50) that makes best scenario is 1480(notebook) + 50(shipping to Malaysia) equals to USD 1330 or 4157 ringgit vs 5200(1043 rinngit save)
ok, that was best possible scenario. it's drawbacks:
1. not safe(at least you will worry)
2. i'm now so sure how warranty will work
3. not so sure with the tax, your item can stuck at the custom and you will have to pay for tax 10%
Ok some important notes here:
1. I'm not trying to steal or anyhow harm illegear.com
2. it's all on your own risk
3. it's all theoretical

p.s. actually I would love to buy from illegear.com but the price is bit high.

Your math is almost correct but I guess you forgot to consider in the RM0.05 per USD + RM30 margin charged by the banker, it should be RM4729.

Do check properly with the shipping agent regarding the GST, GST is applied if Sager delivered the product to those shipping agents, in CA it's 10% GST.

It could be fine if the agent located at tax free area.

I did some math of my own as well before opting for xoticpc.com. but the downside is they don't accept credit card outside of the US/Canada. So I will have to opt for illegear.com. The caused of why I need to pay via credit card is I can claim from my company. My old Powerbook has served me well but it can no longer serve my purpose.

got my laptop today, having problem with the GPU sensor. Anyway to set the default to my nvidia card instead of the intergrated Intel Graphic ?

I change it at the nvidia control panel to use the nvidia card but still my CPUID Hardware Monitor is unable to pick up the card.

not sure about nvdia but it's normal for amd 7970m. it won't pick up the card until i load up games or running heavy gpu usage.
my gpu-z will freeze until i load the game

that is normal due to "Optimus" by nVidia. your nVidia is idle or inactive most of the time in underload situations (watching low quality movie, readings, internet, blablabla)

try to play some high def games or open ur nvidia control panel and refresh ur CPUID hardware monitor.
