QUOTE(Isolation13 @ Jul 3 2012, 10:56 AM) probably. the MSI Kombustor Stress Test still running in 1080p + 8x MSAA running in 99% load.the temperature remains 69c peak since around 00:45 until 01:45 and still counting. i planning to leave it there for another 1 or 2 hours. VDDC stays at 0.85v should be quite plausible. |

QUOTE(ChAOoz @ Jul 5 2012, 03:06 PM) Hey guys any opinion on the IC Diamond Thermal Compound ? Is it worth going for it? worth to invest better thermal paste so IC Diamond should be fine which i am using nowas well as the mSATA for SRT. Any significant performance improvement if pair with 7200rpm hdd ? if you put OS/system file into mSata SSD then it will be way faster. mSata is too expensive compare to normal SSD. |

ICD keep the temps very cool when the laptop is under heavy load...however the downside is the ICD compound can scratch your CPU or GPU..i've use ICD on my old HP laptop..great temps on my CPU it never go over 71C..the trade off is when I want to reapply again I have to clear the residue..after doing that i find scratches on the CPU..but because of these temps i don mind at all about the scratches. In short, in MY opinion, its really worth it.

My temps from using ICD have been good. I participated in the ICD24 giveaway at Notebookreview Forum... Here are my posts from there:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « After 11 months of not touching the thermal paste... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Link to thread: ICD24 Reliability Survey I guess based on the results I got, the paste is worth getting. I'm gonna switch to Prolimatech PK-1 when it's available from a seller in LYN. Looked at reviews and found that it gives better temps than ICD7/24. |

@Sonicspyro
Nic right? Im also getting prolimatech pk-1 from him just waiting for him to get the stock ready. @Chaooz I deal with PrinceJ here in LYN for my Sager laptop and since you're a member of LYN, you can just pm him for the LYN discount. The experience is just business as usual. |
