Now days, slow when I wanna load web pages.
Before the web page actually load, there will be a few seconds of "Sending Request.."
Sometimes for like 10 seconds it just stays at sending requests until it actually loads the page.
Very annoying.

It may be better if you set DNS on your network adapter. e.g. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Maybe the router DNS management is not working well.

It works for my pc smile.gif

has anyone ever thought of going to consumer tribunal and demand for a partial refund due to the below average speed you're currently receiving?

FYI, I'm on Unifi 5Mbps and has no issue with browsing speed

I'm a UniFi user, today I did a DNS test with Namebench from Google which is a free software to test the fastest DNS server in the region/country. Here are some results that might concern maxis users...

Maxis DNS is the 58.71.XXX.XXX, according to this test, the DNS performed really badly, latency over 20000ms (20seconds) and there are over 100 packet loss.

Consider using 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 for your PC's DNS, se

Here's how to try another DNS, I got in from google.

CODE
1. Open the Control Panel.

2. Open up Network and Internet and go to the Network and Sharing Center.

3. Click on Change adapter settings on the left hand panel.

4. This will bring up a list of adapters present on your computer. Most people will have a Local Area Connection while laptop users will add a Wireless Network Connection and possibly a Bluetooth Network Connection...go ahead and right click on Local Area Connection and click on Properties.
NOTE: These steps do not change if you are modifying the Wireless Network Connection instead

5. If prompted by UAC, click on Yes.

6. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on properties.

7. In the properties window you will see a few radio boxes with both of them saying Obtain an IP/DNS Address Automatically....we will leave the IP address alone and will change the Obtain DNS....to use the following:
In the Preferred DNS server boxes enter this sequence: 8.8.8.8

In the Alternate DNS server boxes enter this sequence:8.8.4.4

8. Check the validate settings upon exit (Optional) check box, click OK, and then Close to finish. (See screenshot above)

9. Windows will check your settings (if you checked the option above) and you will be finished! Now start surfing to feel the effects of a quicker and more secure browsing experience!

Just trying to help, not sure if it works, but it worked for Streamyx and UniFi when TM's DNS are overly crowded.

Hopefully it works long term smile.gif

And if anyone's wondering, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 is Google's Public DNS system provided for free of course.
Any info can be sought from here:
https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/

There's also another free DNS server belonging to OpenDNS, with the same concept of Google DNS
http://www.opendns.com/
Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

However, OpenDNS servers are in Singapore while GoogleDNS servers are in Malaysia itself. Nevertheless i find both of their DNS's faster than of any major internet provider over here... rclxub.gif I'm no expert but i think Maxis has more than a DNS issue...

im getting maxis fibre cable installations this coming tuesday 14/8 on a landed property. Does anyone have any advices on what to expect? Also revd a SMS saying that the modem is out of stock and will be given after Raya.

Like those non-standard installation costs, crazy contractor/engineer, etc?

Thanks
