last time with my slowmix - yes. Annoying tone whenever the slowix internet in ON. Once off, can hear smoothly

But currently with this MHF, nope. I think VIOP not suppose to have this annoying tone

No, it was a loud "shee shee sha sha" noise like short wave radio off tuned. Anyway reported and got a case number. CS said technician will contact me.

I plugged my Panasonic dect phone (free TM phone) to Thomson and it works fine.

No stock for modem & router is a lame excuse, my guess is they oversold the bandwidth.

They will pick up but it's better if you call after peak hours, e.g. after 9PM.

Are you a Maxis mobile user? Calling from handphone with "123" is easier to get compared to the normal line. They give priority to Maxis users.

I am using the dect phone to call. I think that consider the Maxis line also... Like other, speedtest is normal but browsing very very slow and sometime timed out. rclxub.gif

I had the same problem. When I first got it, everything was blazing fast but last week, I start to encounter these problems:

1. Ping to Singapore server is very bad, can't play BF3 and flying spaghetti monster happily
2. Frequent disconnection, connection drops

Called Maxis and made a report last Monday but still no resolution from them. Normally I call using "123" from my mobile phone and during off peak hours it's easy to get through.

You can try posting in Maxis forums also. I believe Maxis knows about the issue but is keeping quiet and not updating customers on what they are doing to resolve the issue.

Astro Hotline / Technical Assistance (8am – 12midnight)
General Line: 1300 82 3838

Astro hotline 1300 82 3838 is a LocalFone service provided by Maxis. But if you think calling 1300 82 xxxx is under the unlimited free Maxis to Maxis calls from your MHF dect phone, then you are wrong.
I got charged for calling Astro 1300823838.

One the other hand, my unlimited TM fixed line call package never charge me for calling Maybank2u 1300886688. 1300886688 is a LocalFone service provided by TM.

Maxis's 'maintenance' is probably the cause of the slow browsing. Unfortunately it'll last till Aug 31st...
