Just because you never thought of its use doesn't mean it's not useful. Imagine this: vendor going to a company to quote the manufacturing of broken custom equipment. Takes pic with tablet, adds notes to photos with stylus (including sketches/drawings/arrows/etc) with feedback from customer. True story, seen it myself.

Without tablet, how do you do it? Even on Note, it's gonna be a challenge.

I agree back camera is useful and it's sad Nexus 7 is without one. Its good to shoot & see pictures
on a big 7 "screen against small devices. It will be sadly miss.

No, I didn't say it have no use. I just said it's freaking look stupid. I know it have it's have it's use but only on SOME people. Not everybody. So why everybody need to suffer by paying more for a camera module that is not everybody going to use?

Similar case for me. As a full time Linux, OpenBSD and Solaris user, I personally find Android a joke compared to the real Linux distributions when it comes to security. Currently use a Galaxy Nexus, but I might switch back to the iPhone of maybe something new like Jolla or Firefox OS next year. I can't stand the fact that the OS I use on something as vital as a phone is a hotbed for malware and criminals. I've not gotten any infections because I know what to look for, but it's just the dirty reputation of Android (like Windows for desktops) that I don't like being associated with.

For tablets, on the other hand, I don't mind Android at all. In fact, I'd say I prefer Android on tablets since I can hack away at the source and try my hand at some app development on a bigger screen without having to run an emulator.. I'll use a separate google account with my Nex7, and since there's no phone number associated like with a smartphonephone, privacy isn't that much of an issue for me, as long as I make sure to use a fresh new debit/electron card from a savings account, so that it doesn't tie in to my work-accounts/info.

For laptops, I prefer ThinkPads though. I refuse to use a laptop that doesn't come with a nipple/clitoris, since I despise touchpads. ThinkPads are friendlier towards open source operating systems as well, which is essential for me.

Yeah looks stupid... so I guess this Nexus 7 excludes the camera for the rest of us who don't take pics with tablets.

Maybe Nexus 8 got camera.

Buying one soon when its in malaysia by parallel importers...

Hopefully in a couple of months there will be plenty of AP sets.

i dun think this tab can b a replacement or duplicate device for ur S2, if im not mistaken, this tab cant make phone call or messaging? Just buy it as ur tablet

I am in London now and it seems it will be available for sale in the stores next Monday. I will pick one up. For those who are has requested me to pick up for them too i don't think the price is attractive. It cost £199 ( approx RM 980) + 17% VAT. And according to my daughter here i cannot claim back full 17% at airport , probably few % only
