I bought it online (Mid 2012 model).

When i got it the battery capacity is at 98% not 100% and the cycle count is 0.

At first it does up and and down ard 94%-96% never reach 98%.

But now it keep on dropping never goes up.

I only play dungeon hunter on my MBP aircon environment sometime no aircon but not under the sun.

Hello there guys, i got a question. The mac in my college has this function whereby when I plug a pendrive in, the drive icon will appear in the desktop.

But this doesn't happen to my macbook pro running mountain lion. Is there any option to activate this? I don't seem to be able to locate it. Sorry Im new to Mac!

Why?
I buy because I need the stability of Mac OSX to work on my video production and photo editing.
I need the thinnest yet powerful laptop to travel with me as I often travel for work.
I need the screen resolution on rmbp to work efficiently because time is money in my field.
Apple is good for it's QC. Their Customer Service is second to none.
Last but not least, it's beautiful to look at, and showing off tongue.gif

Have never actually done a battery calibration. Read some discussion that the battery capacity dropped after calibration. Could be reporting the actual capacity after calibration, though but I just won't take the risk. Also, every battery cycle is vital. laugh.gif sweat.gif

Try to use your rMBP with the supplied extension power cord. The plug that is connected directly to your power block adapter is not grounded.

i doubt that anyone is using screen protector on rMBP, just not necessary for a laptop at the first place.
and once putting it, you'll lose some clarity making it not retina anymore

I receive a surprise small letter/slip from Apple for my rmbp.

"Dear C....

xxxxxxxxxxx

This SIRIM label is provided to you with assurance that the product meets the quality requirements of the specific standard specification, and the product is a genuine Apple product supplied to you directly from manufacturer.

Thank You."

I dunno if any other PC maker will do this. They are very detail with things, right down to a SIRIM Sticker. thumbup.gif

it depends what you use it for.
main difference for 2012 and 2011 MBA is the support of USB3.0 and faster SSD, others are just minor

I have been reading a lot of MBP Retina Display users at Apple Forums having Ghosting/ Image retention problems on their MBP RD screen. Scary!

Really spoilt my day.... Now I'm worried whether to get MBP RD or just the non Retina MBP.... Sigh sad.gif

But non Retina MBP will be obsolete soon, right?
