I have a question, about the Mountain Lion Up-to-date Program, they say "Customers must request their Up-to-Date upgrade within 30 days of purchasing their Mac computer.", it means we request after we got our mbp or now? Coz the new mbp takes 3-4 weeks to deliver

http://www.apple.com/asia/osx/uptodate/
*
theres no way to request from them now.
even so, you don't have the serial number of your laptop yet

Bought from Macstudio LYP.
With the help from Stringfellow, managed to get the first MBP RD 512 GB. First unboxing at the shop itself. biggrin.gif

guys, two question here, after googling i still not understand what they are saying sad.gif maybe cos i nvr use mac os b4..

1. how to short cut lock screen like windows is "window + L", how bout mac?

2. once get the machine, can straight open and use + charge togather ? or need let it charge 24 hours for 1st time ?

sorry if my question has been ask before but i reli cant find any answer sad.gif
*
2. Mac goes by charge cycles. so its either you plug in to the Magsafe or let the battery run low before recharging

i see, btw, i saw few of my friend's which they just charge their macbook until full power, then unplug and use until low power then re-plug and charge + use until full power and repeated few times a day  blink.gif
is that the correct way of using mac ? or just plug in the power when using then unplug it when shutdown ?
*
you can do that also, but will damage your battery in the long term.
as for me, i leave it plugged in when I'm at home.
it won't continue charging once the light indicator turns green

Hi,

Can I know what pictures/photo editing software/apps to recommend for MacBook Air? I know in Windows for Photoshop but in Apple which most popular?

Thank you.

Ok , im still waiting for my mbpro RD next month , and when i look at some of the reviews online , some of them are saying that the screen seem blurry , is that a result of unoptimized apps?
*
at 2880x1800 how can it be blurry? tongue.gif
only Apple Apps are optimized for Retina resolutions at the moment

Furthermore, it needs all the big space for battery to last 7 hours.
And the space for heat dissipation.
I also don't believe Apple will introduce MBPRD 13" so soon.
*
it doesn't makes sense to have 3 13" models.
the 13" RMBP will replace the normal MBP, they won't make 3 models to confuse consumers.
if so, this update would come next year
