QUOTE(Everdying @ Jul 26 2012, 04:38 PM) whatsapp works on 808, but it needs a sim card. Your usage is same as mine. 808 primarily for camera And mp3, my galaxy nexus is for the restcompared to android which doesnt need sim card to use, but u of cos still need a sim card just to verify your account then can take it out etc. so right now, my S2 is being used more for multimedia / internet stuff. it opens pages faster, it plays videos better, it browses PDF files way way way better. 808 for camera / mp3. hi all i finally notice the color banding thingy. it happened just now when i was out for supper, and trying to capture strong incandescent lighted object while me myself in darker area - not just the color turned out blue'ish, but also purple/blue tint at corners. i guess something to do with the lens?
it was a nice scene but sadly 808 wasn't able to capture it. |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jul 27 2012, 12:55 AM) actually I use OSX built in simple editor - Preview. it worked very well and has a few highly useful parameter, particularly the exposure and color temperature which fix the color temp very well although I usually need to put the slider more than 50% to the warm side.everything worked very fast but it's the transferring to computer part that I'm lazy with. mostly keep my photos in my phone. must overcome my laziness, as I have iPad that is batter to serve as photo album, just need to do lots of transferring. QUOTE(Everdying @ Jul 27 2012, 01:42 AM) yup, it is how the 808 handles dark area.. but after I update into newer firmware, the problem is still there but the newer firmware produces rather a pleasing result, by means, not that aggressive. And in the newer firmware (so far) I got no blank shots which the previous one always have. still, the banding issue is there but for me, satisfy jugak lahh lets wait for the Belle FP2 to come ![]() 2012-07-26-0922 by Ulwan Ibnu Mokhtar Mohed, on Flickr ![]() 2012-07-27-0043 by Ulwan Ibnu Mokhtar Mohed, on Flickr Do mind that in the second picture is a bit lower light than the first picture but it still produce less blue and not that aggressive in terms of noise QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jul 27 2012, 08:36 AM) if you need photoshop then you dont really need a 808. peter - nice steady shot! i guess many point and shoot camera can't produce as sharp an image as that.
by the way, regarding the color coating coming off thingy, i'm wondering if it happens to anyone of you, will you take the trouble and go back to change another unit? |

If I have a choice I would love a side frontal shot capturing the sparks and lighting on their face from the fire... with 28mm it can be done. But really don't want to go through all that.
