I’m thinking of getting the deco M9plus. Anyone here using it as the main router or together with maxis router? Thanks!

Hello, i have read the recent post and it seems it's easier to fix the wifi issue with a different router than what maxis has supplied

Which router is commonly used to replace the maxis default router?

thanks

Hope someone here has a solution for my problem

I have an Asus AC66 router connected to TM modem. From the Asus LAN port 3, i then connect to Maxis Aminia MA131 WAN port in order to use their VOIP.

I tried taking out their 4g sim card from the Aminia router because wanted to put the sim into a USB dongle to be pluck into the Asus router as standby dual WAN. However when the sim card is removed from maxis router, my VOIP stops working.

Is there a way to configure maxis router in order for the VOIP to work without needing the 4g sim card?

Where to find the vlan id in Asus router settings?
I can only see the vlan setting in the Aminia settings as shown in picture.

TM modem model Huawei Echolife HG8240H.

LAN>IPTV > select profile

Maxis fibre - tm unifi backbone ( vlan 6xx)

Maxis fibre special - maxis fibre infra ( vlan 1x)

For your case it’s the maxis fibre profile

Yes I'm aware how to set the iptv to maxis fibre mode. alfredhow78 was asking me what vlan id in my lan port 3 which i can't find anywhere in my asus router settings. Oh well.... i guess it's 621 for tm unifi backbone.

My problem now is how to get the voip working without needing the 4g sim to be inside the aminia router.

The profile comes with the voip Vlan tagging already, according to ASUS guide, you’ll need to plug in the aminia router to lan port 3 of ASUS router

Not using voip and maxis one prime, not really sure if this ASUS guide still apply

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iBRbk1FSFj0

VoIP Vlan id is 821

Hi all,

Maxis call me and give solution. They told me the easy solution is both router work together:-

1) Maxis router use as main router, Custom router us as AP.
2) Maxis router connect to modem by WAN and use for VOIP.
3) Custom router connect LAN 1 to Maxis LAN 1 (or any LAN port) as AP mode.

Hi Carlo, which method you are using now? I can't use my VOIP now.
