I'm wondering. Will the S3 with 2GB RAM have poorer battery life than the S3 with 1GB RAM? Because RAM needs power to maintain itself especially if it's being used. Just a thought.

I'd go for better battery life any day if the 2GB version takes a severe hit on the battery.

yes it will, that's y samsung now looking into more efficient rams. I remember last time reading an article talking sth about ram and power..

there is swype build in,why are you installing swype beta?
*
the build in swipe is not as good as swype.

reason:
- unable to add own words, even when the words are added into dictionary
- when u type wrongly and wish to change, u can only delete the whole word. While in Swype, u just need to tap on the word and reselect the correct one.
- The UI of swype is better
- The keyboard of swype is equipped with shortcuts for symbols. Instead of tapping symbols tab, u just need to long press. The default keyboard only have numbers.

rooting increase performance of your mobile device by 200%.
that 30 second process alone is worth the time doing it as it will greatly enhance the performance of your phone, reduce the battery consumption by 170% and lengthen the life span of your mobile device by another 80%.

for that 30 second process, you would have acquired a badge special and limited to people who dare to root. the green pirate which used to be black pirate is not for the weak hearted.
More advanced users do not have pirate badges on them but instead the newly neon colored # badge which u can acquire from the playstore for free. think of the new badge as an upgrade to the existing badge.

Hi guys,

I know this has been discussed before but I think I missed the discussion or conclusion because this thread moves too fast  sweat.gif

In a dark room, when my screen is black, I can see some black spots like ink mark on the screen.....is this normal?

Can I claim warranty?

But I can never show this to the service centre without a totally dark room....

Yes, technically when you root your SGS3, the warranty is voided.

However, some users are prepared to take the risk by unrooting the device before claiming for warranty

The choice is yours smile.gif

We bought Pebble Blue 24 hours ago and its cracked. Bf put in pocket while working and then he took out and found there is a slight crack across. He said maybe he bent over lighting to take something from table but its not hard at all. I read

Went to Samsung SC said no warranty and they wanted to charge him RM480 (kesian him give 20-30% disc)

On the other hand, Im using the White one without any protection, i just put in my handbag along with my stuffs , so is it jus pebble blue screen quality problem (i read in earlier thread another guy with pebble blue also having screen cracked prob)

Honestly its not as durable as you think, i would think the quality has been compromised. Its the sad truth sad.gif happy the moment you get it, sad for dont know when you actually crack the screen!

p/s: Any of you got contact to repair the screen at much more lower price, pls pm me . TQ

So sorry to hear that. sad.gif

I read that the phone's screen is fused with the frame, therefore the expensive repair.

Hope you can find a better price for it though.

But, once the majority of people root, would you advise people not to root, and DARE TO BE DIFFERENT?
