QUOTE(seantang @ Jun 5 2012, 05:19 PM)
Singtel thinks we're stupid. They drastically reduce the data bundles for all their price plans with the excuse that "most subscribers don't use all their data bundles and won't notice anyway". And the "BENEFIT" from this "same price but less data" exercise, YOU will supposedly benefit from faster service.

Rubbish... if you already don't use all your data bundle anyway, reducing the data cap won't change the load on the network. Service speed remains absolutely the same. What does change is the fact that Singtel can now charge you extra if you happen to exceed your lowered data bundle. Whereas in the past, you had the flexibility to use more data if you wanted.

Oh... because they didn't reduce the price though the data bundle is reduced, they 'reward' you by giving you more free local SMS. One word... WHATSAPP, muthafarker.

Thanks for sharing. Now I'm torn between renewing my corporate plan for cheaper rate but with less data, or remain my current plan but have to pay higher rate (corp plan only valid for 2 years)... rclxub.gif

I think M1 will announce their plan soon... guess this coming weekend PC Show, a lot people will be signing the 12gb plan while they are still available...

If thats the case.... i have to throw my number away. Luckily only my family members know my phone no. I will try to apply a new postpaid by today.

By the way, if I need to call back Malaysia frequently, the Starhub $38 postpaid plan is suitable for me right? It mentioned that by just topping up another $5, I can call back to Malaysia for free, which is IDD 018 if memory serves me right.

But if using prepaid to call back JB.... it would be quite costly. cry.gif

Just now went to Starhub in Nex Serangoon. Reach there is a long long queue which need to wait estimately around 1 hour. That time i wait is around 9pm. Which means if i continue to wait, they will close the shop. tongue.gif I guess I have to come there again tomorrow earlier abit. haha.

Anyhow, I will try to ask the seller there whether he/she can give me some more advice.  nod.gif

it's arguably easier for foreigners than it is for singaporeans depending on what "type" (skin color / nationality) of foreigner you are icon_idea.gif

hi guys, just wondering about a few of these accounting firms in Sg, namely Robin Chia & Co, Tan Leong Cheo & Partners, C H Lei & Co, Helmi Talib & Co, E H Luar & Co. how big are they in Sg? and how's the reputations of these firms there?
I've been applying for a few other more well known firms there but just wondering whether I should apply to these firms mentioned above just in case those more well known firms that I recently applied to rejects my application.

yes i know no harm in applying for more, but then if my current job in current firm in Msia is better than those small firms in sg then i dont see it as a step forward, rathr a step backward. cuz not all firms in sg is big enough to provide good exposure and career opportunity.

been doing some googling but cant really dig up more extensive details on those firms.
