If thats the case.... i have to throw my number away. Luckily only my family members know my phone no. I will try to apply a new postpaid by today.

By the way, if I need to call back Malaysia frequently, the Starhub $38 postpaid plan is suitable for me right? It mentioned that by just topping up another $5, I can call back to Malaysia for free, which is IDD 018 if memory serves me right.
*
Yup, Topup another $5, they would not charge you international call, just local call only...if you dint topup, it charge you both...

OMG, 1 month or 1 year, my parent gonna kill me off , got any fastest way? find headhunter ? can be trust headhunter? blink.gif

JobHunting is like that one, you applied and wait only. If you want the fastest way, just come down to singapore and get a sg number while job hunting, if they called you, you can arrange your interview faster, and if they hire you, that is the fastest way oledi.

Hi...

What do you mean by "chances to sleep with your colleague is relative higher than Malaysia"? Sorry, I don't get it.

My priority is to save as much money as possible but it is worth to sacrifice life just for the sake of money. My current job is very hard to save due to inflation. Wish I could turn back to my 20s and work in Singapore sad.gif

haha, is obviously he is talking bout recent incident... drool.gif

Your experience if you work before.

c/c++ mostly people do mobile developement now? though you might need pick up skills for ipong or android
but should be easier for you to learn obj-c or java if you good in c liao

if 0.8 to 1 just extra 20% no point go sing work liao  hmm.gif
*
haha, somehow i need to find a way so that i can go for mobile apps...did C/C++ related to mobile dev ? because i heard my fren who do mobile apps saying tat is diff skill for mobile apps rather than C/C++, is tat true? you involve in IT as well?

maybe the way i write is confusing, what i intend to say is normally the figure you getting now is malaysia, if you coming to singapore, you onli get bac 80% of the figure in malaysia, see only figure not the exchange rate.

most likely the company have a structural pay scale (min and max) for each group/position and you expected salary is below the min for your position. So bump it up to hit the min in that group ?
*
Hmm.. hmm.gif
I only think that we, as foreigner alway kena press one, never think of can get higher than expected...so nice leh if all company like tat

not really, at least not for big companies. You could always check with your HR on the pay structure for each group.
*
Oo...they do have this pay structure, but will they let us know? coz i tot salary or pay this kind of thing is confidential, onli accessible by manager and above? hmm.gif

a lot higher...lets just say it is a totally not normal range (very much way off the scale) for a fresh grad
why? i suppose too specific which in turn means u are stuck in that job forever cause unable to transfer skillset outside of the company.
*
hmm..what kind of skillset cannot be transfer? then when he going to change job, is just another fresh grad, ppl will still accept it due to the high paid...if the increment is good, well i guess accepting the offer is still the correct decision? tongue.gif

QUOTE(seantang @ Jun 13 2012, 01:26 PM)
As Mackiddo said... pay structure. For the global MNCs I've experienced, if you are hired into a certain job level, you get paid the salary for that job level - even if you stated a lower expected salary.

The reason is that you will find sooner or later from your colleagues if you're being paid equitably for your job level.

And sometimes, I come across some candidates who are simply 'unaware' of what they are worth (in terms of the job level/salary expected, given the responsibilities of the role). If they have a strong profile, I don't mind giving them a very pleasant surprise. I don't want them to get pissed off after they find out that their peers gets paid more than them. I think this builds a lot of trust and goodwill.
*
That means it all come back to MNC or local company. I thought the pay structure is fixed by the CEO, what i mean is the CEO will say "for each role, this is the max he/she can get, if can get lower the better." brows.gif
