hi guys, just wondering about a few of these accounting firms in Sg, namely Robin Chia & Co, Tan Leong Cheo & Partners, C H Lei & Co, Helmi Talib & Co, E H Luar & Co. how big are they in Sg? and how's the reputations of these firms there?
I've been applying for a few other more well known firms there but just wondering whether I should apply to these firms mentioned above just in case those more well known firms that I recently applied to rejects my application.

yes i know no harm in applying for more, but then if my current job in current firm in Msia is better than those small firms in sg then i dont see it as a step forward, rathr a step backward. cuz not all firms in sg is big enough to provide good exposure and career opportunity.

been doing some googling but cant really dig up more extensive details on those firms.

yes. i'm in audit but only small firm. didnt manage to join big firm. pressured by high inflation across the country, SGD will appreciate again RM provided that RM remains stagnant.

I've applied to many of the firms listed here , hopefully I get some replies soon..

is it appropriate to ask whether is it possible for an online webcam interview session to be conducted instead?

hi all, need to be at Sg Marina Mandarin in formal attire on a Sunday morning around 8am from KL.

googled around and thought of this 2 methods,

1. Take the 11pm KTMB from KL Sentral which will arrive at Woodland around 6.30am, then MRT to Explanade/Promanade.

2. Drive and park at JB custom(there got parking right?), take the bus over the bridge to Kranji, take the MRT to Explanade/Promanade.

any better way? midnight express bus? thanks smile.gif

Is it an important event?

If it is, I suggest coming a day earlier and staying overnight in SG. Best if you stay in Marina Mandarin itself. Pan Pacific is nearby too.

I got another important event in KL the evening b4 that so I can only depart around 9pm Saturday

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Aug 11 2012, 03:04 PM)
2. drive all the way to Sg (weekend no VEP). Park car at Sg (Woodlands/Chua Chu Kang ? a lot of free HDB parking on Sunday). Take MRT to destination
*
I never drive all the way into Sg b4, anything I need to prepare b4 doing so? I heard they have some kind of machine that deduct prepaid toll money..

1. take night Express Bus to Sg, alight Woodlands. Take bus to Kranji MRT. Kranji MRT to destination  thumbup.gif

thanks alot for the info on the VEP, you're really helpful, the HDB parking should be easy to find right? looking from google map I can't locate it but I'm guessing there should be one just beside Marsiling, Woodlands, or Kranji MRT station.

anyway which night express bus? I've searched a few, aeroline fare is too costly, others can't seem to have one that depart after midnight.

I think the thing that auto deduct toll money should be ERP ?? hmm.gif

I think if I drive in, I probably wouldn't past any toll right? since I'll park around Marsiling/Woodlands/Kranji MRT station.

I'm not aiming at international firm. yet.. was thinking to secure a job first, year or two just go for bigger firms..  cry.gif
*
then why not secure an international firm in Msia 1st? cuz I think being in International firm in Msia is still better than being in an unknown firm in Sg

I would think otherwise i.e. start in SG with a second/third tier company then jump to a MNC.
At the very least the SG company will not discount your experience.
Also pay wise you will have an increment instead of a salary cut or no increase in salary i.e. they pay dollar for dollar.
*
well it will depends on which MNC u talking about cuz I doubt it'll be easy to jump into big4 from a small audit firm.

ie from small firm in Sg most probably u'll only jump on to med firm and they will still discount ur exp cuz there's a significant difference between a small audit firm and international medium firm.

how about, let's say crowe horwath from a small town in msia, to crowe horwath sg?
what is the possibility?
*
i'm not experience enough to answer that accurately but my guess is possible if ur holding high pos. and also higher chance if CH KL rather than CH say.. Malacca
