Anyone heard of the company ServiceSource?
*
Apple is the best company, no point comparing Apple with other company, unless you are talking about EM, then different story.
Those company like Service source i bet they are outsource company. Outsource are usually lower interms of pay grade and workload is very high.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

Thanks Lester1987. Is BP the short name for this clinic/hospital?
Thanks Mackiddo, guess its nearby/round JB City Square right? By the way, in terms of price is it the same as other branches in other states? Or their price is a bit higher?

Thanks.

4k on S Pass? That's her basic pay? If not then its still correct if her basic is still under 3k...gov wont look into the commission/allowance as part of the basic salary...IIANM

You can always ask if the hiring company is willing to bear the cost....its not much...should be around SGD50 for everything
*
it is normal, Salary is just 1 of the criteria to get EP. they will look into qualifications, work experience etc etc.
I manage to get an EP with less than $2.8k salary last time. my colleague which has more than 3k unable to get 1.
He is diploma I am STPM. but his diploma is from those cikai colleague. So they only take him as SPM. even his pay is higher than me,
But his qualification lower, so they only grant him S pass. but as a lot of people said. it all depends on the gov's mood.

When you go interviews in KL, do you get a 100% success rate? No, right? Do you then say "I wasted that 30 minute drive to KL to attend that interview?"

Same thing mah. If you're not willing to "waste that trip" then don't bother coming lor.

No need appointment already??
*
appointment is only needed for EPSC (Employment pass holders). if you go to WPSC (means S pass and WP), no appointent is needed.

photo taking is available there. plenty of shops. i would advice you to do it there because the shops there can make surethe photo is correct.

and if you are applying WP, go there super early, queue is super long

for s pass. its ok. wont take more than 2 hours for whole process.

I'm a fresh graduate working in a startup (small company)

I'm a UM student, a computer science degree holder (second upper).

I'm holding a S-pass. My current salary is 2.8k. I would like to apply PR. Is possibility of getting PR application approved lower? Considering:
1. small and new company
2. S-pass holder and salary
3. Education background

Should I wait for salary increment before applying PR? Thank you
*
that is the main concern, all the others doesn't matter that much. I am not even a graduate. salary lower than u, holding S pass.
stay in JB and travel in and out daily as well. I got my PR because working in a reputable company. But graduate from UM do give you some advantage.
Give it a try. If you apply, u got 50-50 chance, if you don't apply, ur chances are 0

Oo...how much and how long to complete it?

our dear Washabushi spend around 4-5 months and around $1k SGD just to get his 2B bike license. not advisable to take the test in SG.
Its DIFFICULT and EXPENSIVE.

Yep, it's stated in point 7(g).

Explanatory notes to Form 4A & Annex A
Thanks for the info guys. I asked a colleague who is also a Malaysian PR and she informed me that a testimonial from my current employer will be just fine. Not sure why they deliberately stated "previous employer" though, it's kind of misleading  hmm.gif
*
its just a letter that state you are working for this company la. they name it testimonial, but the fact is its the piece of letter you pass to banks to certified your employment la. will say smth like Mr. XXXX are working as XXX in our company from XXXX until present with an annual income of XXXX. and must be with company letter head. thats it.

doesn't have to be that way. depends on company and what type of job.

Added on August 24, 2012, 7:59 pm
that's pretty tough. lodging alone almost 50% of your pay, unless you share room
*
you employee king status is different. you work 2 days per week.

if wanna save on accomodation, can stay in JB and travel daily. if not, prepare to spend $600-700 for a common room.
