if youre scared, put some blanced/boiled zucinni, small piece only, remove lefovers after 6 hours.
also, take your algae wafers, crushed them into dust, and applied on the blanced zucinni,
not a 100% working method, but it help, even it has a low percentage of success rate. i thought mine using this method.

now the algae wafer is already broken into many small pieces at one spot sweat.gif the tetras are all interested in it but they can't find a clue how to eat it LOL

i will leave it until 2mr morning and see how. maybe the ottos will be more active when i switch off all the lights

zeneticX, u might be lucky : maybe ur ottos are cleaning up algaes inside the aquarium somewhere. that's why its not interested in the wafers; its got more fresh algae to eat smile.gif

if u see the ottos getting thinner, then u know the aquarium is not neough algae for them lo...

may i suggest that u drop the wafer once a 2-3 days. that should keep those otto happy.

Need help from sifu here sad.gif sad.gif

1. my 60cm x 45cm x 35cm tank is currently infested with thread algae. Currently I am using T5HO 24w x 4 lighting and only ADA iron bottom in the soil. Lighting period is 8 hours total with 3 hours on in the morning follow by 3 hours off then on back again for 5 hours. CO2 supply is 2bps. How can I remove the algae?? Tried to remove it with tooth brush but seems like it attached to my plants quite tightly and not easy to remove.

2. my CO2 check valve had backflow after the CO2 being turned off at night. Some of the water in the bubble counter flow into the tubing and pass through the check valve sad.gif sad.gif The check valve is connected before flowing into bubble counter and in the correct direction. The CO2 tank is connected to 2 diffuser to supply to 2 different tank. both of the plastic check valve (different brand) also showed backflow after the CO2 is turn off. I have check the solenoid connection with the CO2 tank and into the divider but could not find any leakage..
