ZeneticX,

that's thick soil u have,
try to move all the soil to behind to create depth and infront leave around 2CM will do...
*
i think its fine to me. i actually move quite a bit of them to the left corner to create a hill

it seems thick because of the inconsistency. i will flaten it back when i do the rescaping

if its a new otto youve got from LFS, sometimes, it will take some time.
if youre lucky, they will eat striaght up.

goodluck and godspeed bro, do take some pictures step by step,
from empty tank>substrate>hardscape>finalize scape>wetting the substrate>planting>filling the water>removing cloudy soil particles>results
hehe

*
they're already in my tank for a week. probably used to the tank now

now the algae wafer is already broken into many small pieces at one spot sweat.gif the tetras are all interested in it but they can't find a clue how to eat it LOL

i will leave it until 2mr morning and see how. maybe the ottos will be more active when i switch off all the lights

zeneticX, u might be lucky : maybe ur ottos are cleaning up algaes inside the aquarium somewhere. that's why its not interested in the wafers; its got more fresh algae to eat smile.gif

if u see the ottos getting thinner, then u know the aquarium is not neough algae for them lo...

may i suggest  that u drop the wafer once a 2-3 days. that should keep those otto happy.

Just let your Ottos settle down first. They will get active soon
